pov: young leonara having a crush on you

You met Leonara when you were out playing with your friends. She was crying all by herself so you went to comfort her.

"hey, what's wrong?"

"they left me..."

"who left you?"

"my friends... they don't want to play with me anymore"

feeling bad for her, you decided to play with her, "how about you play with me?" you gave her the biggest smile possible and she happily agreed so she joined you and your friends.

You brought her home since she was alone, "how old are you?" leonara asked. You smiled at her, "I'm 14, what about you?"

"I'm turning 10 this year" and she gave you a proud smile. You patted her, "keep smiling, alright"

"hehe, of course" and with that, she went in her house. Ever since then, you and her gotten closer. She rants and stories to you of her everyday life and you weren't complaining. Leonara had friends but everytime you were around, she would run to you.

One day, the both of you were sitting on a tree, looking at the night sky.

"what's your dream?" you asked her.

"I want to grow old with my future lover" leonara said with pureness in her eyes.

you chuckled.

"what's so funny?" leonara punched your shoulder.

"you're only 15, it's normal to think that way"

Leonara pouted, "then what about you? what's your dream?"

"mine? i want to travel the world"

"don't you forget me okay!"

"hehe, of course not, Nora" you patted her head, "how can I forget my little sister?"

"is that how you're gonna see me forever?"

"yes, hehe" you laugh cheekily and she rolls her eyes.

"there's something I need to tell you..." leonara said after a few minutes of silence.

"what is it?"

"there's someone that I like"

"oh? Who's the lucky guy?"

"i-it's a girl"

"oh?! I didn't know Nora was fruity"

"shut up" and she punched your shoulder.

"hehe, alright alright, so who is she?"

"I can't say. It's a secret"

"even from me?" and she nodded her head. You sighed, "alright then, Nora" you patted her head, "speaking of love, i need to tell you something too"

"hmm?"

"I have a boyfriend" you smiled.

"oh..."

"nora? You alright?"

"yeah, I'm okay. Congratulations though" she smiled.

You looked up at the night sky, "its getting even more darker. We better head back" leonara nodded and as usual, you would send her home.

As Leonara looked out her window, "the girl I like is you..."

It's been two months. She would see you and your boyfriend together and she would get jealous but it's you. If that makes you happy, she didn't want to destroy it.

Another secret that Leonara had been hiding was the fact that she hated herself and one day, she had enough of the world so she wanted to end it all. She ran away from home and thankfully, you were out that night when you saw her. You ran after her. She was about to jump off the cliff but you managed to drag her back by grabbing her wrist and the both of you fell backwards with her on top of you as you hugged her tight.

"let me go!" and you hugged her tighter, "let me go!" she struggled to get out of your grip but you held her tight, "let me go!" till she calmed down.

"nora.. what were you thinking?" you were still hugging her.

"you don't understand!"

"i may not understand but at least talk to me, Nora"

"you idiot! I'm in love with you!" your eyes widen as she sat up and so did you.

"in love with me?"

"ever since you started talking to me, when my friends left me, you were there. everytime you were around, i would run to you because I knew they were fake. You were the only real one in my life. Everyone leaves me, except you... The truth is.. i hate myself and knowing you love me, just makes those thoughts disappear. You're my safe place, y/n... and when you told me you had another, I couldn't take it... I love you, y/n"

"nora..."

"I thought you having a boyfriend means you were leaving me even if you only saw me as a younger sister. The thought of you even leaving, just kills me"

You were sitting cross-legged as you look down and chuckled, "are you laughing right now!" leonara shouted at you.

"I'm in love with you too, Nora" you gave her a small smile.

"what..."

"i knew my sexuality when I was 16 but knowing my parents, I kept it a secret so I just dated boys to keep them off my back and when I was 18, I guess that's when I started to fall as well but you were young"

"what about now, I'm already 16..."

You gave her a small smile and placed a hand on her head, "if you can wait till you're 20, i promise you that I will have the money and we'll run away together. Traveling the world together and have your dream fulfilled as well"

"my dream?"

"to grow old with your future lover"

"you remembered..."

"of course, I did, nora. You're my new dream and I will keep chasing you forever"

She jumped onto you with a hug, "I love you!"

"hehe, I love you too, my Nora"
