Now that he was drunk on love, Kirishima asked the boy in his arms, "You wana walk or be carried?"
Eitarou grunted and squeezed Kirishima's ribs with his knees.
"Alright, carried it is!"
Kirishima unlocked the door in his garage, but he paused when he saw the warm glow of his kitchen lights on. Eitarou spent 90% of his time staring at Kirishima watching everything he did, so he instantly noticed how his goofy father figure melted away into the hero villains feared.
He didn't need to be asked to be quiet as Kirishima slowly bent down to put him down. Living with a pro hero for a brother meant Ahri knew the signs even better than Ei did. She swept her boy up in her arms and stepped into the shadows of the garage as Kirishima silently stepped into his kitchen.
Kirishima knew most people assumed he was bumbling because of his size, but he could be stealthy when he needed to be. He didn't make a single sound as he turned the corner. He heard someone's footsteps coming down the steps. Kirishima hardened his entire body as he waited for them to get closer.
He sucked in a deep breath.
Ahri placed her hands over Eitarou's ears when she heard the sound of an entire wall being destroyed.
"GODS DAMNIT EIJIRO!!" an older woman's voice boomed raspily from somewhere within the home
A higher-pitched one instantly followed. "BLASPHEME!!!"
Kirishima blinked rapidly as he stared down at the woman he both feared and loved like no other. His fist was inches away from his mom's age wrinkled face. "Mom?"
She cocked a pierced black brow at her son despite being pinned to the ground and had just been seconds away from greeting death. "Ya gonna keep sitt'n on me, or are you going to help me up?"
Kirishima's entire face and neck turned bright red as he scrambled off his mom. He delicately helped her to her feet, but she grunted, "don't start treat'n me like I'm made of spun glass when ya just threw me through a wall."
"I'm sorry ma'am. I didn't know it was you."
His Ma sprinted down the steps to see her wife wiping off bits and pieces of sheetrock and dust from her jeans and t-shirt. "Are either of you hurt?!"
"Of course, we aren't!" Mom snapped as she gave her son a very proud smile. "You're lucky it was me and not your ma. We got the same quirk, so no harm no foul, yeah?"
Kirishima rubbed the back of his neck shamefully. "Still, I feel terrible for attacking you. I'm sorry Mom."
"Don't be! You were just protecting your home. I expect nothing less from my boy."
Kirishima was a puddle of love and happiness at receiving one of his mom's gruffly given compliments. His strawberry blond ma gaped at her two brutes. "Don't butter him up when he just made a big 'ol mess!"
"Quit yer huff'n, woman. We both know you can clean this up in seconds."
Ma spun her finger around, and the wall picked itself back up. Sheetrock and plaster refused together. Ma had the quirk to rewind the time up to 2 minutes, but it only worked on inanimate objects which was insanely helpful since Kirishima and his Mom had a wonderful habit of accidentally destroying stuff all the time.
"Don't call me woman!"
Kirishima grinned at his Mom when she winked over at him. He knew she loved to torment her loving easy-going wife, and it was their way to be naturally sassy with one another.
