High School Graduates pt.2

Jenna's POV

Emma opened the door for me and awkwardly stood to the side so I could walk into her house. "I know it's not much but uh, yeah welcome! My parents are on vacation and will be back in 2 days so.. yeah."

I placed my bag down by the door and gave her a hug. "Well we have the house to ourselves tonight" I said and pulled away. She gave a cute smile and looked in the other direction pretending to look at a vase on the table.

"Are you hungry at all? We can order something from DoorDash" she offered and started to walk down a hallway and I followed. "Yeah I can get something to eat" I said with a smirk she didn't see.

We entered her bedroom and I sat down on her bed looking around at all the decorations. Pizza was what we agreed on and she ordered our food for us like a gentleman. Now we just had to wait.

"You have your own TV in here?! That's so sick" I said with my legs crossed over each other. "Your bed is also mad comfortable" I laughed and laid my head on the pillows.

"Oh thank you" she said and very stiffly got herself onto the bed and laid down veryyy far from me, I thought she was going to fall off of the bed.

"Are you ok..?" I asked. She nodded but didn't look at me so I scooted over to her and turned to my side. "What's up why are you being weird?"

She scrunched one side of her face up not wanting to answer. "Well I dunno it's just.. I like you and now you're here in my bed- I mean not that it's weird but like- well and then you're laying down and spending the night" she rambled on and on.

"Ok well I can go if that make you more comfortable" I offered and started to sit up. She shot up and pushed me onto my back again with her hand on my collarbone.

"Oh.. I was just going to say you should stay" she gulped and removed her hand from me. "What's the worst that could happen Emma? I'm not going to hurt you."

"I don't know it's just nerve wracking cuz my heart gets fluttery and my brain goes crazy" she started to ramble again and I shushed her. "Tell me what your head is saying to you."

She turned red and I could see her clenching her jaw tightly. "I promise I won't judge" I told her sweetly. She looked up and sighed.

"What if we kiss tonight?" I couldn't help it. I laughed uncontrollably and she turned over and buried her face in the pillow saying "stopppp" in a muffled voice.

"I'm sorry I'm not laughing at you it's just cute" I said finally calming down. With her face still in the pillow she said "how is that cute?"

I moved the hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear, my head stooped down by hers. "You're nervous about a kiss and I think that's cute. Kisses are nothing to be afraid of."

She lifted her head just enough to side eye me. "Well I haven't done it much and I'm scared about what to do next, I've never had a sleepover with someone I wanted to kiss!"

I poked her cheek over and over until she finally flipped onto her back and stared at her ceiling. "So you're saying you want to kiss me?" I asked her playfully.

"Yeah. I guess." She was flushed with embarrassment.

I put my finger on her chin and pulled her head to face me and her face showed all the nervousness and anxiety possible. "What if I kissed you right now?"

"Oh.. I mean..." her mouth was very slightly quivering and I looked at her, flicking my eyes to her lips silently asking for permission.

She gave me a single very soft nod. I pulled her in gently and our lips met as she let out a shaky breath and pushed deeper into the kiss.
