Let The Legend Make Way!

On the run,Tommy jumps from a building. Five am and I get jumped by a group of black spirits. What a morning! He runs through the streets, dodging any blasts of shadow that came his way.

"Hey". Nix says. "Fuck"! Tommy shouts as he dodges another attack. "You scared me"! "We need to get you somewhere safe". Nix says as he grabs Tommy. Dragging Tommy through crowds of people, and the streets, they make their way out of the city and through a portal.

"Back in the Black Realm. A very safe place be"! Nix claims. Tommy looks at the portal. "Has this portal been here"? Tommy asks. "No, Trix made it". Nix shrugged. "I should be goin back to the hotel". Tommy says. "I don't need them to worry about me". "You can use your axe to fight the Star Guard, Tommy. I made that battle axe to help you with your legend". Nix says. Tommy chuckles dryly. "Right. I'm not used to being able to fight black spirits". Why am I still trying to keep secrets from just about everyone?

On the other side of the portal is the forest Tommy knows well. I should have been paying attention to the path Nix was drag me through. I have magic. I can use the memory part o my magic to help me get back. I'm not getting lost today! A white glass-like orb appears in front of Tommy. A picture of Nix dragging Tommy showed itself. Now let's see the path Nix took. A few minutes passed, and Tommy, with help from his magic, made his way to the city.

Tommy reaches into his chest and pulls out a red soul and essence tie. He stares into it as if it was the last thing given to him by someone special. "98% essence left". He whispers. "Where did the other 2% go"? He returns his soul to where it belongs and heros on walking. The snow on the cobblestone streets crunches under the feet of people. Tommy looks around, trying to find something. What would Benjamin like?

Tommy walks into a bookstore. He grabs a book off the shelf and reads the title. The newest "Black Stone Harmony" book! I'll grab a copy for me and Benjamin! "How much"? Tommy asks. "25 gold each. They just came in today, so that's why they are so expensive". The lady replies. He takes out 50 gold coins and hands them to the lady. As he leaves the bookstore, he looks out the window to see a black spirit looking for someone. Shit. It's looking for me. Tommy pushes his body up against the bookshelf. He looks out the window again to see no one there. Thank the spirits it's gone! He leaves the bookstore on full alert. They are probably wondering where I am. I need to get back to the hotel soon.

Tommy stops and slides out of the way of a black spirit throwing a punch at him. He summons his new battle axe and swings. It barely dodges the axe. Tommy takes another swing at black spirit, and this time he cuts the black spirit in half, then disappearing like dust in the wind. A blast of shadow hits Tommy's arm. "That barely even stings". Tommy chuckles. More black spirits appear. Tommy smiles sardonically. He shifts his feet and gets his arms in position the swing.

"You're outnumbered Ultimate Spirit! Surrender, give up"! A Star Guard General shouts. "Surrender or die"! Tommy looks at the general. "Every fight I am in with a Star Guard member is life or death for the both of us". Tommy smiles. "You really want to die, don't you"! The general shouts. Tommy steps closer to the general and leans in. "The difference is that I am destined to end up on top". Tommy whispers. He springs back up and backs away. He bring his hands out, away from his side.

"Life or death! I win or The Spirit Council wins! At the end of this, I will die, and killing me will speed things up, and make things easier for me. So stop trying to kill me and let me complete the prophecy". Tommy says in a way you can't tell if it is a threat or a bargain. "Keep on trying to kill me, but you'll never succeed. You can't prolong the inevitable forever".

Stunned, the general freezes. This kid reads too much. "Drop your weapon"! The general shouts in a defensive tone. Tommy grabs the general and brings it's neck closer to his axe. Tommy continues to smile, you could tell he was ready to kill a black spirit, and this one was next. It teleports away and out of Tommy's grasp. "Y-your insane"! The general shouts. Can you stop being so loud? You're going to break something you know". Tommy jokes. The of the Star Guard members there laughed.

The general blasts a shadow. Tommy moves out of its way. He swings his axe at another black spirit. Reincarnated, disappeared like dust in the wind. The rest of the Star Guard group began attacking Tommy. The fight had just begun.

Tommy dodges a kick to the chest, then he backflips over one black spirit and kicks another in the back of its head. He turns around to grab a corrupt black spirit. He reaches into their chest, getting a hold of their essence heart. He was about to snap the tie when he looked into their eyes. Tommy teleports away from the corrupt spirit.

That, that's a living person. I can't permanently kill them. I-i just can't. Tommy backs away. He swings his axe one more time. He drops to his knees. The fight was over,but the war had only begun. Just like that,he had ended the lives of just a few enemies, but there were still more out there, more that he would have to get rid of. "I'm so sorry". Tommy muttered to a stranger he had met a long time ago. He got up and started walking, teleporting his axe home.
