Dice's POV:

Devi and I were relaxing in bed, he was laying on my lap purring like a cat. I was just reading, I really missed doing this. Relaxing with my boyfriend and reading, like the times we had before. We'd done this so much I'd forgotten how nice it was, but after being separated..it feels amazing. I closed my book and started to pet him. He looked up, grabbed my hand, and kissed it. This reminded me of the old times. Too much. As if- it were a dream. I knew it was real..but I still broke down. I don't know how, or why, but I broke down. Devi instantly tried to comfort me but I don't remember much because my head was filled with thoughts.

"Dice! What's wrong?" Devi shot up.

I responded with hysterical tears and murmured responses. Devi sat up, and grabbed my hands. He tried to comfort me. I regret this so much.

"You looked right at me when you said it!.. You meant every word..."

Devi stopped talking and looked at me right in the eyes. This is when I knew I fucked up. Devi let go of my hands and just stared silently. That's when I saw tears building up in his eyes too.

"Dice, I'm REALLY trying to be better. I REALLY am but this..THIS DOESN'T HELP."

My tears got worse. Not from feeling upset about him, but feeling guilty. I hate to be like this. I hate not thinking before I speak. I was overthinking and I started to panic. I wasn't moving or breathing at this time. Devi, being the most caring person I've known, still tried to comfort me. He still tried to make me feel better over himself. I didn't know what to say, so I hugged him back. We both cried for what felt like forever. When I stopped, I comforted him until he stopped. He curled back up on my lap, and I went back to petting him. He fell asleep and I stared at the ceiling for what seemed like ages. I felt movement next to me and looked over. Devi moved and wrapped his arms around my chest. I sighed, and cuddled with him too.
