Chapter 5

Period 2 went pretty slow. I mean it was maths so very very boring.

I walked out onto the courts with Megan, Natasha and Lou. The boys were playing football as usual. I saw Bella ( my friend ) leaning against the fence, looking out onto the courts.

" hey I haven't seen you for ages. You ok ?? " I asked. I looked to the place were she was looking. Melissa was stood with a tiny little vest top on and short summer shorts on. I know it's hot and all but there is no reason to dress like that ( IN SCHOOL )

" how can she wear that and not get told off. Last term I wore my polo shirt a day before the Easter term and I got 3 conduct slip. Seriously." I started to laugh at Bella and her humorous words.

Then jake walked over to her. He picked her up and spun her around like she weighed nothing. ( AS IF )

JAKES POV

I Cuddled into Melissa. She always smelt like flowers.i carefully placed her down on the had Tarmac. Oh my god it is so hot I really need my football water bottle. I turned to run and retrieve my bottle. SHIT. Marley and Bella are there stood right next to my bag.

MARLEY POV

I just stood staring at him. His blue eyes looked like crystals in the sun.

" Marley just go and talk to him you know you want to.)

" I want to but it will be so awkward won't it I mean........." I was interrupted by Bella walking over to jake. I looked at them trying to make out bellas lip motions. I was never that good at lip reading. Then I saw jake nod his head and start to walk over.

OMG what is he going to do.

" Hi Marley. "

" Hi jake." He could tell I was a little confused.

" so ummmmmm."

" why did you come over ??"

" to ask for a second chance ? "

" WHAT"

" I want us to be friends again not just people see each other in the hall. Then run in opposite directions." He grabbed my small hands in his big ones " why did it all end ??"

" because you were so self centred and immature that you cheated on me for that bitch."

I could feel my my eyes welling up with tears of the past. Marley keep yourself under control you have spent the last 2 years keeping it inside. Don't ruin it now.

Suddenly I felt wet bubbles of water stream down my face.

" Marley I am sorry about that you know I am. How many times do I have to say sorry."

He walked up close to me and lent his forehead on mine. He looked down and said

" I'm sorry "

" no I am sorry "

" why ??? "

" I am sorry that I ever loved you"

I grabbed. My bag and started to walk off the courts.

Then Melissa saw me.

" why do you have to ruin everything?"

" I don't. soon he will move onto someone else and leave you in a great big pile of crap to deal with."

I walked off the courts

" god sake she's just a stroppy old cow that can't move on. She's week"

I turned back.

MELISSA POV

I felt a little tap on my shoulder. I turned around ( big mistake)

I turned around and felt a hot hand slap my left cheek. Then she pulled my hair and wispered in my ear.

" if I am weak then what dose that make you ?? "

Then she let me go. She walked of the courts smiling with everyone watching her.

Jake came running over.

" well are you gonna help me up or not..?"
