Song: Fluorescent Adolescent by Arctic Monkeys
I hop out of the shower, getting dressed, tossing my wet hair into a bun, and placing my glasses on my nose before brushing my teeth. After I am all ready for bed, I make my way into the bedroom where conversation is erupting from all over the room.
"We literally could have made it," Lucas shouts to no one in particular.
"I think you guys are just jealous we won," I say to him.
He scoffs. "We are not. We were very close. I am just stating the facts."
"Whatever you need to tell yourself," I say to him as I make my way next to Nick, who is sitting shirtless in his spot on the right side of the bed. "We did amazing," I tell Nick as I sit down and pull the covers over my legs.
"I'm pretty sure you mean me," he says, and my jaw drops.
"Absolutely not," I argue. "I helped too."
"Whatever you need to tell yourself," he mocks me, and I shove his shoulder.
"Selfish prick," I say to him with a smile.
"You guys fight like an old married couple," Gianna says to me from across the room. I giggle as I look back over to Nick, whose expression is still blank. I clear my throat in the awkwardness, deciding to just take my glasses off and lay down.
"Good night," I say to everyone, and they return it. The lights shut off a moment later, and I snuggle under the covers.
"Great job today," I hear quietly from behind me. I turn my body to face Nick, who is also facing me. I adjust to lay on my right side. I can barely make out his face in the darkness.
"You too," I tell him, and we just sit comfortably until I begin to fall asleep.
"Good night, darling," I hear right before I doze off.
"You are an old man," I say to him regarding the nickname. He chuckles, and I fall asleep to the calming sound in my ears.

"You're so hot," Fernando tell me from two spots away on the couch.
"Thank you," I say, taken by surprise for a moment. I look around, and no one else is in the range of hearing, since Nick and Aryan are playing billiards under the pavilion and the rest are floating around in the pool. "You're very attractive too," I say quietly.
"Oh yeah? You find me attractive?" He asks with a laugh.
"Yeah, I do," I answer.
"Well, then, I guess we're just meant to be," he says, and I fight back the cringe that threatens to come onto my lips. He's hot and all, but some things that he says sometimes can give me the ick.
My line of vision goes back to Nick, who is carefully studying the position of his cue. He squints his eyes as he slightly shifts the cue into an angle on the cue ball before he strikes, sending the six ball into the corner hole. His reaction remains blank, though.
"Woo-hoo!" I shout out to him as I clap for him. His eyes snap to me from across the villa, and he smiles. He turns his head away, hiding his toothy grin from me.
Well that's disappointing.
I sigh and turn back to Fernando, who has some sort of scowl on his lips. I ignore it and decide to head to the bar to pour myself a drink.
"I'm going to go get a drink, i'll be right back," I tell him.
"Okay," he answers as I get up and head over.
I can feel the awkwardness in our conversations. Once a topic ends, we struggle to find a new one. But, I have hope for us, since he hasn't been going after Olivia. I check back behind me, and, sure enough, there she is, taking the open spot next to him. She follows him like a puppy, and I'm shocked that Fernando hasn't claimed her yet. He lets Olivia feed into his ego, and I know they're very flirtatious.
But he hasn't chosen her yet, so I am going to stay positive.
