If I wasn't drained before, I definitely was drained now. Those exams took everything I had, the written and the physicals. "I don't like the water here, it's not like Whitebridge," Jian spoke to me while she swam around on her back. She told me that she comes here around sunset to get away from everything. Just her and the water around her. "My mom use to be like this, now she's so concerned with work-""We're not talking about our problems. Just us like old times." I kicked my feet while sitting on the dock, I had just listened to what I said. "I mean obviously it isn't like old times-"
"Yeah, like old times." Jian smiled and continued swimming. Ever since we were little I could watch her swim for hours. She looked so angelic it kind of made my head hurt how perfect she looked.
Her mom used to swim with her, they would challenge each other to see how long they could hold their breath. Due to that, Jian could hold her breath for almost eight minutes underwater. She ducked her head under to go swim for a minute. I looked to my right and in the distance, I could see a green-haired boy- maybe Izuku, but I couldn't tell he was very far away though. He was with a tall lanky old man- he kind of looked like a corpse.
After a few more minutes Jian emerged from the water with a smile. "Come swim with me."
"I don't know how to swim."
"Liar." She yanked my leg and I fell into the water. My t-shirt was drenched sticking to my skin. I trod the water to keep myself afloat. I pushed my wet curls hair back as she floated above the water. "I missed you, you've been there, just not here. It's weird."
"Can you stay the night?" My mouth moved faster than my brain. She ducked herself underwater and swam around me before answering my words. "I wouldn't be a bother?"
"My mom misses you, I think she likes you more than me." My words caused her to roll her eyes. There were some things that my mom wanted to do that I never would, like get a nail set or binge black-and-white romance movies. Jian was always there to step in, my family loved her like blood. We missed her.
"Let's go to the mall." Her words came out suddenly, she tugged my arm before using the dock to get out of the water. I didn't disagree with her words, most of the class was there bonding. "Ugh, I don't feel like talking," I whined while pulling myself up on the wooden dock. She was putting a big shirt over her bikini, meanwhile, I was trying to squeeze the water out of mine.

Jian was basically rich, a doctor and a lawyer for her parents, I mean come on. They've always given her a crazy allowance, but I know money can't compare to the relationship she could have with them. Jian says it's the least they could do.
I was walking around the store, I looked at a cargo pants section. Jian appeared on the other side of the clothing racks with flare leggings. Five pairs, five different colors. "How do you feel about the blue." She held up a blue pair and showed it to me.
"It brings out your eyes."
The trip consisted of many dressing rooms and many mini-fashion shows. I think Jian has spent five hundred dollars so far. She even let me go into a music store. I walked over to the vinyl section and that's when I saw Jiro.
"Did you come with the class too?" Jiro asked while twirling around her ear jack. I shook my head while picking up a vinyl. "I came with Jian, she wanted to go shopping."
A collection of guitars caught my eye I wandered off to them and Jiro followed. "You play too?" Jiro asked while she tested out a strat. "Since I was little, I took lessons with the blonde but he lets out his aggression on drums, he doesn't have the patience for fretboards." She couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "You're telling me Bakugo plays the drums."
