Chapter 2

Preparing for adventures

A/N: Heyoooo so very sorry for not updating as much as you probably want, but I have some...issues happening and it's been a bit more difficult to get motivated. So please do enjoy this chapter~

[Kat's POV]

     We arrived at my house and I got them all situated in my living room. I live in a small apartment with one bedroom and one bath. The neighbors are okay, and as well as I could afford something bigger I just don't see the use. It's a waste of money to me. I may be young at a whopping age of 16, but my parents weren't the best. I'll speak more about that later. I went to my room and grabbed my adventuring contract. I have people sign this contract before adventuring in case something happens. If my contract is broken at any time, meaning the adventurer cancels it mid adventure, I have to call the Adventurer's Guild to come get them.

"Okay, I've got the contract for you Sir Lux. Just a few things before you sign. If you cancel midway I have to call the Adventurer's Guild to come get you. If I believe you're not worthy and cancel on you I give you double the amount of money you've spent while traveling with us, although I can tell by looking at you that you're qualified. Just hope you don't cancel on me." I said, but the last part I said with a little chuckle.

Lux took the contract and started reading it. He didn't even respond. Kinda reminds me of when I met Killua and his sister.

"M'kay, was that all or is there more?" Lux said with a monotone voice as he signed the contract.

"Nope! You're all set. Let's sleep at Gons' and Killuas' place tonight!" I said with excitement.

"Sleepover? At Gon and Killuas'?" Lux said while tilting his head.

"Yeah! That sounds like fun! I call sleeping with Killua in his bed!" Gon said not embarrassed as he thought it was normal.

"G-Gon! You can't say embarrassing stuff like that! But I'm cool with a sleepover." Killua said not as excited as Gon was, because Gon made him all flustered.

"Well then, lead the way Gon and Killua!" I said in excitement as we started to make our way to Gon and Killuas' house.

As we walked to Gon and Killuas' I got to know Lux a bit better. He's really friendly and funny. Let's see how he handles our sleepover.
