Dodging the Dodger

Part 4

You all woke up, but there was no Dodger in sight. You walked over to Charley, who was sitting there with his hands over his face. "Hey, Charley? Wheres Dodger?" You nudged his shoulder. You heard Fagin sigh. "Fagin?" You walked over to him. "Charley and Dodger got into a fight and Charley pushed Dodger into the road, a carriage came by and nearly crushed Dodgers ribcage" Fagin sat there, upset. "Where is he now?" You looked at Fagin. "At Nancy's, the doctors there." He replied. "I'll be back!" You threw Charley to the ground and ran out the door.

You knocked on the door, "NANCY?" You yelled. Bill answered the door. "Can i help-" He quickly cut off as you rushed in through the door. Everyone who was there looked up at you. "May i?" You asked the doctor. "You may" He replied softly. "Hey Dodger...Its me!" You smiled. He sat up carefully as he looked into your gleaming eyes. "Y-Y/N?" He said before he carefully hugged you. "Whats going on with Charley...?" He coughed through his words. "I dont know, but when i go back there i swear-" Dodger cut you off. "Please, no violence.." He held your hand as he stood up. "Quickest recovery!" The doctors face lit up with joy. "Come on, easy now tiger!"" You quickly stood up and helped him back into Fagin's.

You looked at Charley with evil eyes, determined to hurt him. Dodger fell asleep in your arms, he is quite heavy so you had some help to get him back into bed. He woke up, terrified. "Hey! Hey! Dodger, whats happened?" You quickly rushed back over. "I don't want him to hurt me again" He sneered over at Charley.

"Id do anything for you, dear, anything, yes id do anything for you" Dodger started to sing.
"Would you climb a hill" You started to sing too!
"Anything!"
"Wear a Daffodil?"
"Anything!"
"Leave me all your will?"
"Anything!"
"Even fight my father?"
"What?! FISTICUFFS? Id risk everything for one kiss, everything!"
"Yes id do anything!"
"Anything?"
"Anything for you"
He soon after gave you a small kiss on the cheek. "Oooo" The boys exclaimed. "SHHHHHH" Dodger said, hiding his face in his hat.
