Chapter 4: Groups

I woke up, got dressed, ate breakfast and headed to school the next morning. Dad still wasn't home after last night, like mum had said.

I just hope when he comes home they won't get into a serious fight, I want my parents to make up and stay together, but it just can't be like that.

I headed to my home room class, 1A, and saw Mina with Kirishima and Kaminari.

"Hey Mina, sorry I didn't answer your texts," I said.

"I know Y/N, you've already said that," she said putting her arm around my shoulders.

"So... what are we talking about?" I asked.

"Random stuff, class is going to start soon, we might as well get ready," said Mina dragging me over to our desks.

We sat right next to each other in the second last row, Mr. Aizawa walked through the door as the bell went. Instead of going straight to his sleeping bag he stood in front of the class and got our attention.

"We'll be having a normal home room period today, today you guys will vote for whoever you think will be a good class representative," said Mr. Aizawa.

As soon as Mr. Aizawa finished his sentence, everyone in the class starting putting their hands up and yelling out to him that they want to be class rep.

Then Mr. Aizawa told everyone that to be class rep you have to take responsibility for things and not just be class rep because you want to.

I had no idea who to vote for when the pieces of ballot paper was handed out, so I just voted for myself because it's not like I was going to be picked anyways.

And I was proven right, everyone had voted for themselves except for a few people who had picked two others.

Midoriya got 3 votes and Yaoyorozu got 2 votes. 

"Alright! Who voted for him!" Shouted Bakugou. Damn there is definitely something between those two that I don't know about.

The two stood at the front of the class, Midoriya was shaking and sweating, it looked like he was about to pass out. Yaoyorozu looked disappointed that she was vice rep, considering that Midoriya is very timid.

Just as Midoriya was about to speak there was a whole rush of people going down the hall. We all rushed out thinking that it was a villain. No one knew what was happening, Mina and I stuck close together, not letting go of each other.

Everyone was being pushed around trying to get to the exit as fast as they could but it was too cramped to even move.

Then all of a sudden Iida was in the air near the exit in the shape of the exit sign person.

"Calm down everyone! It's just the paparazzi!" Shouted Iida.

Everyone calmed down after, I was relived to know that there was no villain, instead it's just the paparazzi.

We all returned to our home room class and continued with the rest of our morning.

Midoriya once again stood at the front of the classroom just as panicked as before. 

"I-I-I w-would just l-like t-to say t-thank you for e-everyone w-who voted for m-me, b-but, I-I don't t-think I'm r-right for this p-position," he started.

Wasn't surprising honestly, he is very shy.

"I-I think that Iida should take my position as class rep, he was very mature about the whole situation before, he stopped the whole crowd, a-and if that didn't happen we'd all still be panicking in the halls right now," Midoriya concluded.

Everyone agreed and was saying that he did a good job, there were also people there saying that he looked like the exit way person.

Iida looked shocked as he gaped at Midoriya.

He stood up and agreed to taking the place as class rep, Yaoyorozu looked even more annoyed now. Girl I feel your pain.

The bell rang for first period and we all hurried to our maths class. Mina and I sat next to each other again.

"You guys will need to be paired up for a maths assignment this term," started our maths teacher.

Mina and I looked at each other with the look of 'we're gonna be partners' look on our faces.

"I will be pairing all of you up to make sure you get the work done, and not just muck around with each other," our maths teacher went on.

The whole class groaned, knowing that they aren't going to be with their friends for this assignment.

"I have already paired you guys up, listen for who you are paired up with, I won't be repeating myself," he said. He began telling us who we were all paired up with. Mina and I had our fingers crossed the whole time knowing full well we won't be together.

"L/N and Bakugou," said our maths teacher. Oh shit. 

I gave Mina the 'help' look.

"Don't worry, if he says anything bad to you I'll personally kick his ass," said Mina with fists ready.

"Mina! No! Remember what I told you yesterday," I said.

"Sorry, sorry, but still, tell me all the tea," she said winking at me.

"Omg Mina no!" I said giving her a glare. She laughed at me and sat back in her chair too far that she fell off.

I laughed at her so hard I swear I was almost crying.

"Karma bitch!" I yelled at her.

"Miss L/N! Language, Miss Ashido, be carful, don't sit back in your chair like that," scolded our maths teacher.

"Sorry!" We both said.

"Now, get into your pairs, and NO funny business, otherwise I WILL change your partners," he said going to sit at his desk.

I got up with a sigh and went over to Bakugou with my books in my arms and plonked them down next to him.

"What," he said giving me a glare and leaning back in his chair. I take a seat next to him and look him in the eyes.

"We're partners, I don't know how you expect us to work together on opposite sides of the room," I said opening my maths book to the page we're doing.

"I know that nerd! You don't need to tell me!" He yelled at me.

"Okay! Okay! Calm down," I said finding the page we need to do.

"I am calm you idiot!" He yelled again.

"Okay, we need to do this, we both don't want to be doing this, so we might as well just cooperate with each other the rest of the term and then it will be over," I said.

"I know! Stop telling me things I already know!," he yelled again.

Oh boy... this'll be a long lesson.
