introduction

hi, i'm lacey!

this is my first story to ever publish! i just wanted to start off with a little something before you dive right into the story.

i know most people won't even read this, but this is for the few that might. this story has been in the works for quite a while. now in saying that, no it isn't finished. i've only actually written like a dozen chapters.

i have been sooooo nervous about actually publishing any of this book. i'm so scared to make a mistake, so i think i've been overanalysing my writing.

but, if/when i do make mistakes, please be kind!! i'm still learning, and with this being my first story, i'm just letting my imagination run free while i get a feel for writing.

at the end of the day, it's only wattpad. i'm trying my hardest, while also having a whole life outside of writing.

please stick with me. i have high hopes for this story and i think many others will enjoy it. well at least my final version. i will probably still edit and change veryyyy minor things after i publish chapters every now and then.

but enough about all that!!

i want to talk about the actual story itself.

'you're my fresh air' is my baby!! i first dreamt up this story on a road trip with my brother and father. so for all the people reading this when it first comes out, just know that this started with dot points in my notes app from the front seat of my dads car.

i grew up in rural australia, but when i turned 14 i was forced to move to the city with my mother. my heart lies in the country, so this story is kind of inspired by that.

now i understand some people who only know city life may not understand some of the things i'm writing about, so i've tried to make it as simple as possible and not go into great detail with certain things. so that its easier to understand.

finally, this may not be the most well written story. i don't mean punctuation and grammar i just been the storyline itself. i'm trying!! please don't judge.
