/Val's Pov/

I look up to see who it could have been—the lux lounge guys—the guy on top of me on the floor with a bloody nose who was then, knocked unconscious from the impact.

Thoughts start to cloud my mind. Why would they help me? Who are they? What do they want from me?

I look up at them and make eye contact with the guy with gray eyes who is standing there. We both can't look away from the stare radiating with familiarity.

I then speak up: "Who are you and what do you want?"

The one with blue eyes then responds, "I am Victor, and this is Alessio," he says, pointing at the one with grey eyes.

"He was trying to help you, so stop the attitude, because if it wasn't for him, who knows what would have happened," the guy I now know as Alessio says as he rolls his eyes.

Offended, he believes I don't know how to properly defend myself, so I say, just to piss him off, "Who says I can't defend myself, and what tells you I wanted to get out of the situation?" I raise an eyebrow.

/Alessio's Pov/

After her little smart remark, I felt my blood boiling. Why would she want to be with a guy like that? I can smell the alcohol radiation of his stupid body from over here.

I then replied, "You're telling me you want to be with the fucker over there who smells like alcohol and knocked you into the wall hard enough to leave your head bleeding."

She winces as she brings her hand to the side of her head, noticing the sign of blood; she will almost certainly need stitches.

Entering the conversation, Victor says, "If you could defend yourself, you would have gotten that guy off of you, and I wouldn't have had to knock him out."

Right before she has any time to make any remarks, her phone starts ringing. She looks to see who it is, and her eyes go serious. She answers and then walks away without saying anything, not even her name.

/Victors Pov/

After that very fun interaction, can you sense my sarcasm? I realize that's the most Alessio has said or even shown emotion for a while.

We never got her name, and she left in quite a hurry. Suddenly, I get a call on my phone; it's from Luca.

"Where are you guys? Hurry up and get here as soon as possible; there's something important I have to tell you," Luca says over the phone.

I quickly responded, "I am at the club; I was filling out the paperwork you told me about, and me and Alessio decided to stay a little while longer."

Luca then orders, "Fine, but come home now; you're going to want to hear this." He then ends the call.

We finally get home and are now on our way to Lucas' office. The house is quiet as always, and we knock on his door.

He orders, "Come in."

As we walk in and take a seat, seeing all our brothers sitting down, he says, "We have received news that someone is in our territory, someone that people don't want near them. The Rose Of Hades, Uncle Romano, let me know earlier today."

Our brother Mateo then comments, "Me and Luca have discussed what to do, and we decided to stay in town, but we wanted all of you to know this to be careful; she is dangerous, and none of her victims have ever made it out."

/ Val's Pov/

As I answer the call, I walk away, forgetting about them and worrying about why she is calling me at this time.
