~Chapter 3~

/Val's pov/

As I was waiting for Dr. Luciano to get back, I texted Luigi, asking when our medical base was arriving here.

Me: Heyyyy so when the hell is the med base getting here buddy

Gigi: 1st of all don't say hell and 2ndly in a week

Me: 1st of all I can say hell cause that's where i spawned from, and why so longggggg

Gigi: I can tell that's where ur from also, why should I know why it takes so long to move HEAVY med supplies

I just hung up ignoring him, knowing we could argue for hours.

As I put my phone down, Dr.Luciano came in looking at me with a look I couldn't quite distinguish.

"I would like you to finish signing these forms and to wait in the room till I come and collect them; I won't be long," Dr. Luciano says as he hands me the clipboard.

I give a short response while he leaves the room.

quickly packing up my things. I leave the clipboard untouched, not feeling the need to waste my time with any of this as I have business to attend to.

As soon as I open the door, I am hit with the smell of a cherry pie and the sight of the most gorgeous thing ever: a cherry pie.

"Such a gorgeous sight," I say in a sing-song voice.

Es smiles and confidently says, "I know I am," while checking her nails.

"Omg, you're here too," I say jokingly as I stare at the pie in awe.

Es gives me a look and gives a short response.

I tell Es about the weird doctor, and she laughs, saying I made him nervous, and I then scrunch my face in disgust.

We had decided to binge-watch the best movie that was ever created, Tangled, and we fell asleep not knowing what awaited us the next day.

/Unknown Pov/

Yes, I am waiting in position, and I won't let you down," I say on the phone before I hang up.

I am waiting, watching them go wherever they go, just waiting for the perfect moment to jump in. action

I can't help but stare at her. She's so mesmerizing.

 / Val's Pov/

I woke up early this morning and went to the gym with Es, and after we did our usual routine, she went home while I stayed and trained a little longer sparring with my best man.

After having beaten his ass multiple times, I decided to go to the car and go get myself a Starbucks. I got my drink and headed back to the car, I put my seat belt on and took a sip of heaven.

As I was getting ready for the mission meeting, I decided to go with something a bit more laid-back (black loose baggy jeans and an oversized t-shirt with some Nike dunks).

I had decided to leave my hair air-dried since I was in a rush to get to the base. I ran inside quickly, taking my helmet off and rushing into the meeting room.

As I am sitting down, Gigi( Luigi) starts backing up like a maniac and falls out of his chair. I quickly looked at Esme to see what was up, and she quickly pointed at my hair.
