9: Start of college

Shubman hadn't responded to my text yet
It was a school night
I was done with all of the homework and projects
I was done with backpacking and now i had some songs on and was doing skincare
I had taken a shower and was dressed in night dress
I applied some moisturizer and was done with my 4 step skincare
I jumped on my bed and took my phone with me
I could help but think about what Shubman had said before
I sighed opened my Instagram
I had gotten a message from Ishan

Ishan: wanna have dinner before the big school start?

Y/n: yea why not

Ishan is typing
...
...
Ishan: meet me outside your gate at 6:30 pm

Y/n: okie dokie Mr .

He liked my message and i got out of bed to get ready
I changed into blue jeans and a white v neck top
I wore silver hoop earrings and tied my hair in a low pony and let a few face framing pieces hang on my forehead
I did light makeup and got out of the room at 6:28 with my bag
I stood infront of the gate and after a while a car stopped infront of me and the windows rolled down revealing Ishan
I got in the car hugging him and he looked at my outfit
"We are matching"he said and i noticed it too
We started driving towards the hotel where we were going to pick Shubman and Abhishek
I was a little nervous about meeting Shubman given the circumstances but i shook that thought away
After 15 minutes
Shubman and Abhishek got in the car
"Patola dikri hai "Abhishek said and i smiled at him
"Thank you thank you" i said and we chuckled
My eyes went towards Shubman who was already looking at me
I smiled at him and he smiled back
I kept looking at him from the mirror and most of the time saw his eyes were on me
I opened my Instagram to go on our chat
And suddenly the message i had sent to Shubman was seen by him
He looked at me immediately and i did the same
I cleared my throat and turned off my cellphone
We reached the resturant in an hour
We got out of the car and we're walking towards the entrance
I was beside Shubman whose eyes were on me the whole time
He was looking really intimidating and i was trying not to look directly in his eyes
We took our seats and unfortunately Shubman was sitting right across me along with Ishan
And i was sitting with Abhishek
We ordered our food and started eating
"We won't see you that often now right because your college is starting from tomorrow?"Ishan spoke first to start a convo
"We can see each other whenever we are free" i said smiling at him
I looked at Shubman and smiled
He didn't smile this time
"Aatma watma aagyi hai kya andar tere"Abhishek said looking at Shubman and i started laughing like a maniac
I slapped Abhishek's shoulder a few times and because of me Ishan started laughing too
"Ouchh "Abhishek said rubbing his shoulders and we laughed again
Shubman didn't make a sound he didn't even smile
"Shubman are you okay?"i asked him with seriousness in my tone
"Yes I'm okay I'm just figuring something out"he said and i understood what he was trying to say i looked down at my plate and continued to eat
After we were done with eating we sat in the car and all of us were now drinking a drink from Starbucks
We were all sitting comfortably
My leg was on Ishan's lap and his was on my seat
The both of us were turned to look back at Abhishek and Shubman
We all talked about random things as usual
I noticed how Shubman's eyes kept going back to my feet and Ishan's lap
His expression fell
I wanted to pull my feet away so that he didn't feel upset
But as soon as I started to pull it away Ishan held it
"It's okay rakh mujhe issue nhi hai "he said and i smiled
I looked at Shubman who was already looking at me
After that we went back to my hostel and i hugged Abhishek and Ishan
I stood infront of Shubman and smiled
He liked me
He confessed it and today i could see it in his eyes and behaviour but i wasn't going to treat him any different
We are still friends
Good best friends
I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in a hug
He bent down and hugged me
This hug was different
Not a friendly hug
It was more of a  i like you but you don't like me back hug
He took a deep breath ,his face was in the crook of my neck
And released it
I shivered because his breath tickled me
He planted a small kiss on my cheek before letting go and smiled at me
"Goodnight Shubman"
"Goodnight Y/n'he said and i said goodbye to all of them
I looked back and saw Shubman mouth i miss you
I smiled at him and blinked at him tightly telling him i know
I went back inside and changed into comfortable clothes and removed my makeup
I hopped on the bed and took my phone with me
I opened my Instagram and saw a message from Shubman

Shubman: all the best for tomorrow 😀😀

Y/n: well thanks I'm pretty sure i need it because I'm practically invisible at my college ☹️

Shubman: well you are not invisible to me 🌟

Y/n: i like your choice of emojis 😇

Shubman: anyways I guess you are probably gonna go to sleep now

Y/n: yes I'm going too goodnight

Shubman: oh one more thing if anyone troubles you there let me know I'll handle it 💪

Y/n:thank you i appreciate the gesture but I'm a big girl I'll handle it 💪💪

Shubman: okay i know  I'm just saying if 💪💪

Y/n: i know Shubman

Shubman: goodnight sweet dreams 😪

Y/n: Goodnight sweet dreams to you too 😪

I kept my phone aside and decided to go to sleep
But that night i don't even know why but i couldn't fall asleep
