Noah POV

I woke up to a beautiful morning on Playa des Losers, sense my sarcasm? But little did I know that this day was going to be filled with even more beautiful moments. As I walked down to the kitchen, I couldn't help but feel a little scared, knowing that I was going to spend the day with Cody.

As I arrived in the kitchen, I saw Cody already sitting at the table, eating breakfast. "Good morning sunshine," I said with my usual sarcasm.

Cody looked up from his plate and rolled his eyes. "Good morning, Noah," he said with a smirk.

I grabbed a bowl of cereal and sat down next to him. "So, what's on the agenda for today?" I asked.

"I was thinking we could go explore the island again," Cody suggested.

"Sounds like a plan," I said, taking a spoonful of cereal. "As long as I get to be the navigator."

Cody laughed. "Deal."

We finished our breakfast and headed out to explore the island. We hiked through the jungle, swam in the crystal-clear waters, and even found a hidden waterfall. And throughout the day, our playful flirtation only seemed to escalate.

Every time Cody would touch my hand, I'd feel my heart skip a beat. Every time he'd catch my eye and give me a smirk, I couldn't help but feel a rush of adrenaline. I didn't want to rush into a relationship with him yet. I didn't feel ready... I was too scared, yet he made me happier than I've ever been.

As the day went on, our flirtation grew more and more intense. And before I knew it, we found ourselves lying on the beach, looking up at the stars.

"You know, Cody," I said, breaking the silence. "You and I have been through a lot together, haven't we?"

Cody turned to look at me and nodded. "Yeah, we have," he said softly.

I sat up and looked into his eyes. "And I know we still have a lot to figure out, but I just want you to know that I care about you. More than most things, you know?"

Cody's eyes lit up with surprise. "Really?" he asked.

I nodded. "Really."

Cody grinned. "More than your books?"

I rolled my eyes. "Don't push it, Code-Miester."

He laughed. After that we just laid together on the sand, looking up at the sky.

Maybe I would be ready sooner than I hoped.
