i ask as i turn my body to
face joão as he makes a turn
down another road now.

can be heard in the background of
conversation with joão and i as we
continue our drive.
he hasn't said too much
regarding our plans for
tonight and curiosity
is getting the best of me.
"is someone that eager to find out?"
he says with a slight chuckle
and the car comes to a full-stop,
which i didn't even realize.
he then puts the car into park and
and turns the car off completely
before facing me with his head

joão leads me out of the parking
lot and has me close my eyes
as he holds onto my hand to guide
me to what it is that he has planned.

he says as we halt our movement
