My Missing Puzzle Piece (Discontinued)

The house was empty and cold when we came back. We dropped the boys back at their flats except for Niall and of course, Liam. Geoff and Mom immediately went to their rooms. Mom had grown really distant in the last few weeks but, who could blame her? I walked forward and tripped on the welcome mat. Strong arms caught my waist. I looked behind me to see Niall holding me. The light was still off so I didn't understand how he saw me but whatever. My phone suddenly went off, signaling a text message. Niall stood me up right and I opened it , it was from Jess who I hadn't talked to in forever.

We never talk anymore and I guess you think because your related to and know one direction your better than me. Don't call or text me anymore not that you would anyway, bitch.

I stared at screen. No unicorn master, just nothing. Suddenly, I felt a immense feeling of anger. She was not going to ruin the getting back on track. I threw my phone to the floor and sadly, it broke.

"Shit." I whispered, trying not cry. Niall cleared his throat and I realized he was still there. "I.. Uh...."

"What's wrong?" He came and held me. I felt comfortable and safe in his arms. I wish before everything had happened I could have said I liked Niall. Maybe we could have gone through the pain together. "Kelly?" Niall brought me back from past regrets.

"Hm? Oh, my EX-best friend just dumped me." I sighed. Niall nodded and continued to hold me.

"Let's go upstairs."I suggested. He nodded and before I could take a step, he swooped me up bridal style and started to carry me to the stairs.

"I have feet ya know?" I smiled at him. I was actually having a butterfly party on my stomach. He smiled back at me, flashing his Irish charm.

"Yeah I know." He chuckled. I was soundlessly carried to the top of the stairs where Niall then made a detour to my room. I pushed down in the handle and swung my door open, still in Niall's arms. He walked over and sat on the window seat. I tried to sit up in his arms but he held me tighter.

"Kelly? Where are we?" He looked at my with his blue orbs.

"Liam's house....?"

"No, I mean us. I still can't get over you. The feelings I felt, the little crush? Well it's been growing stronger. When I see you cry it feels like a part of me breaking and.. And.. I see you with Liam, giving him hugs and wishing it was me." He whispered. I had known Niall for a couple weeks, maybe two months? Thinking about what I said before, I realized this was the perfect time. I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. I tear rolled down my eye, then another until I had a small water park on my face.

"I... I didn't mean too-" He started but I cut him off. I kissed him. Right then and right there. His lips were soft and didn't move at first. I realized what I had done and started to pull back when his hand pushed my back closer. He moved his lips in time to mine and smiled into the kiss. It was a sweet, little kiss. No frenching, just a kiss.

"I like you too." I whispered, pulling away. I could see his smile in the moonlight.

"Would you like to go on a real date with me?" He whispered in my ear, kissing the skin just under it. Shivers rolled down my spine as I giggled.

"Yes."

I know it's short. I don't really like author notes as chapters so I added this because I have an important announcement:

I need a new cover! If you design me a cover and I choose it you will get to be in an upcoming chapter and if the story seems fit, maybe even a permanent character!
