10: Its Karen

"You...?"

"Like you? Yeah." He mumbled. I sort of liked him too, but this was all going I fast. I can't just come here and fall in love in a couple of days. If I was going to go out with anybody it would be awhile before that happened.

"Niall, I..." I started.

"It's fine. I knew you wouldn't like me back." He muttered, hopping out of the car and slamming the door. I blew out an exasperated breath and got out as well.

"Niall!" I called to his retreating figure. He turned and waited for me to catch up.

"I can't tell you if I like you or not. I mean I like you just not..." I stopped and started over.

"Things are going to fast." I put it short and simple. He nodded and started walked to the entrance of the mall again. I mentally kicked myself for messing things up. Niall probably wouldn't even talk to me anymore and it's all my fault. I sighed and jogged up to him.

"You hungry?" He asked as we entered the building, getting blasted with cool air. In response my stomach growled and I realized I hadn't eaten at the restaurant. He nodded, taking my growls for an answer and walked to the elevator.

"Don't you dare!" I yelled. I ran over to Niall and shoved him out of the way. He almost pressed the button, which was my job. I pushed the little circle in while Niall stared at me.

"You were asking for it." I shrugged. He cracked a small smile as the doors parted and we walked inside. Niall almost pressed the inside buttons too, but quickly stopped after I made a grab for his finger.

"Three." He chuckled at me. I nodded and pushed the button, making it glow orange. We started our ascent and the slow ride seemed to take forever. Finally, we made it to the top and the doors opened, revealing a group of teenage girls who stared wide-eyed at Niall. They were having a stare-down until one let out a shrill scream, forcing me to cover my ears.

"Run!" Niall yelled, grabbing my hand and pulling me through the girls. They took a second to realize what was happening before they started to chase us.

"Niall we love you!"

"Can I have your babies, Niall!"

"OMG! Take me home Niall!"

"Perverts!"

Oh wait, that last one was me. Niall was breathing hard as we kept running. He yanked my hand again and we turned into a J.C. Penny's and flew up the escalator like mad men, earning a few words from other people who may have gotten shoved. We heard the girls below us asking where we went. I made a beeline for the dressing rooms, Niall on my heels. The 'ding' went off as we entered and I ran into the nearest stall, closing and locking the door after Niall was in with me. It took one look before we started to laugh uncontrollably. We had to stop quickly though, my lungs were oxygen deprived.

"N-niall?" I huffed out. He grunted in response. "A-are you still ma-mad at me?" He shook his head and I let out a small smile. We sat there for about twenty minutes, catching our breath and listening for crazy fangirls. When the coast was clear, we stealthily made our way to the nearest clothing rack, hiding inside of it. No perverted teenagers anywhere... Except for in the clothing rack.

"Wanna just go to McDonalds?" Niall whispered. I nodded and we made a mad dash for the exit. It became a race as we ran to the car. Niall hit the vehicle a nano-second before I did.

"That's right! Niall wins!" He yelled doing a jig, which had me in stitches in seconds.

"Alright, alright. Feed me already." I smiled, walking over to the passengers side and getting in. I waited for Niall to get in the other side while he took his slow time. Finally, he reached the door and clambered in, starting the car.

"Foooooood." I whined as we pulled out of the parking lot. Niall ignored me.

"FOOOOOOOOD!" I wailed louder. Niall leaned over and flicked my forehead.

"Owwwwwwww."

Niall chuckled at my wails and complaints. I sighed and fiddled with the radio.

"Hey, leave it there?" Niall asked as I was about the change 'Wanted' by Hunter Hayes.

"OMG! You like this song too?!" I exclaimed. He laughed and nodded and I smiled.

"Gurl, we can be like hayzical buddays." I talked in my most ghetto voice. Niall cracked up and I soon fell under the Irish spell and did too.

"McDonalds!" I yelled as I spotted to golden 'M'. Niall changed lanes and turned into the parking lot. I had left my purse in the car at the mall and made sure to grab it this time. I realized I still had Niall's jacket and pulled it tightly around me. We walked in silence to the door, which Niall held for me.

"Thanks." I smiled. He returned the gesture and we walked inside to a deserted Mickey D's.

"Welcome to McDonalds, how may I help you?" The girl behind the register asked as we approached.

"Order." Niall nudged me with his elbow.

"Um... Mighty Kids meal and an extra large fry and sweet tea." I shrugged. Niall order three Big Macs, two fries and a ten-piece nugget.

"Geez boy, your gonna get fat." I commented and he shook his head.

"Nah, metabolisms to high. Ill be a stick forever." He smiled. I giggled and he handed the woman his card.

"Wait, I have some-" I started to dig in my purse. Niall caught my arm and gently shook his head. He took his card back from the woman who went back to make our orders. My breathing hitched and Niall stared into my eyes.

"Any condiments?" The girl called lazily.

"Ketchup please!" I smiled, looking away from Niall. She rolled her eyes and threw some into the bag.

"Your orders ready." She thrust the bag at us. It was my turn to roll my eyes as Niall grabbed the food and walked away, me following close behind.

"What crawled up her panties?" I grumbled, grabbing the food Niall was handing me. He chuckled and opened one of his Big Macs.

<I>I'm gonna pop some tags.....</I>

My phone went off. I fished around in my purse until I found the ringing phone.

"Hello?" I asked, mouth half-full. I heard crying at the other end.

"Kelly?" Came Liam's broken voice. "It's Karen."

Ooh.... No Nelly for now :(
