Chapter 1 ~ Sudden Husband~

Y/N pov:

"I'm Y/n Wentwill, I am a Baroness. My parents are Author Wentwill and Clara Wentwill, I plan to become a famous artist like Leonardo da Vinci or Albrecht Dürer."

I sat as straight as I could while I was looking at Mr. and Mrs. Everglot, they wanted to know more about me

"We knew that darling, I meant, is there anything new we don't know?"

I take a glance at the stairway to see if Victoria was there which thankfully she was

I let out a breath of air that I didn't know I was holding in and as I got up I put on a polite smile then headed to the door

"I would love to stay and chatter more but we should be off, it was a pleasure talking to you Mr. And Mrs. Everglot, enjoy your evening."

"Please, the pleasure is all ours."

She smiled at Victora and me as we walked out of the house, I've always felt pressured to please them anytime I was around

"Y/n, You know, you've known my parents for a few years now, I'm sure you don't have to be so tense when they appear for a few minutes."

"I know, Victoria,"

I stop in my tracks and twist my body toward her with a growing smirk

"Yes?"

"Since your parents aren't around, TAG YOU'RE IT!"

I begin sprinting to the woods that was beside my house, Victoria and I love coming here, I looked behind me to see Victoria catching up

As I was turning back around I didn't notice the giant rock sticking up out of the ground

"Ah!"

I tumbled onto the cold, hard ground and managed to scrape the palm of my hands, I look up to see Victoria standing over me with a grin on her face

"Oh? Y/n you're such a klutz."

She extended out her hand as a sign for me to take it which I happily did

I looked at my hands and then preceded to wipe the dirt that was on them onto my pants

"Thanks, I'm fine by the way, in case you're wondering."

I laughed at the remark I made

"So what do you want to talk about?"

I sat down on a long boulder that was sitting beside a thick, dead tree with a stick pointing out of the ground in front of it

"My parents set me up for an arranged marriage and all I know is his name, which is Victor. Victor Van Dort."

I felt my jaw drop

"They're seriously making you marry someone unwillingly? But you've always thought of soulmates and falling in love. They can't make you do this!"

"If I don't, we'll be forced to live on the streets, penniless"

The girl then sat next to me while leaning her head against my shoulder

"That's so unfortunate, I wish there was something I could do"

"At last, there isn't. Y/n, I would like you to be my bridesmaid if you want to be, of course"

I pulled her away and smiled at her, I was more than stoked

"Duh! Of course, I want to be!"

I yanked her into a big warm hug, tightening my grip to make sure she knows how happy I am

"There is one good thing that came out of this at least"

"What would that be?"

I slowly got up from my spot and started grinning

"Your it!"

I poke her while running for the hills as fast as I could back to the town

"Hey! That's not fair! I thought we were busy having a moment"

I could hear the girl giggling as she ran after me, I smiled

"Seems like a you problem"

As we made our way around, we showed up at the tailor

We looked around for the perfect dress when I spotted a beautiful flowy white silky dress

"Wow, it's stunning"

I look up at the employee

"How much does this dress cost?"
