Long ago there was an ancient fox who roamed the cursed forests that forbade anyone to come in. The forest was filled with dark spirits, corruption of any kind, and vengeance of the fallen. It was always raining there, and dark clouds would always cover the forest, in hopes no one can ever get in the 𝘌𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘨𝘰𝘥'𝘴 spit of a land.
The ancient fox was one of many acquaintances of said Evil God. Since he wishes not to take responsibility of his doing, she'll have to clean the spit of the God herself.
One day, as the fox was roaming the borders of the land keeping the vengeful spirits away from the possibility of escaping to the outside world. Although she 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 the humans the fox admitted that they make great food, or they themselves are the food, either way the food they make and themselves taste pretty decent. Unlike the land here, there wasn't much available sources that could become food, starving spirits would have to eat other spirits sometimes they would have to eat themselves, a loop of eating themselves to eternity. She herself every now and then has to eat spirits of her own.
From a distance the fox could see two small beings in the air, despite the heavy fog and rain here it was pretty clear there was definitely two 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘥𝘴, to what humans call them. '𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦' the fox tilted her head to the side, from her observations the birds will most likely land near her. The fox jumped around and sat on a rock near the blessed river.

The birds started getting closer, 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 to the river. At this point they won't be fresh once they land, they were probably dead before they even started falling, possibly shot by hunters? Humans can be wild after all.
It was when she realized the birds were going to land on the water. Just before the birds were about to hit the burning holy water, the fox leaped above the river and caught the birds with her mouth.
She landed just before border onto grass, the grass was dull, muddy and wet but fading to a brighter green as it get cut off by the border. The fox spat the birds out of her mouth, observing her supposed prey.
𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦, the fox loomed over injured birds. One of them twitched, hm how did they manage to get here alive? Ever so brave flying creatures. They're still alive, yuck. She isn't interested in live food right now, the fox cringes as she notices blood coming out from one of the bird's wings.
For some reason, the fox's chest squeezed and felt tight. For some reason her instincts were to help the bird instead of eating it, and for some reason she just did that.

And yet disbelief and annoyance leaked out of their mostly stoic and workaholic appearance, a groan coming out of the Raven and an audible eye roll by the phoenix.
Their teacher bursts out to laughter from her students' response. It died down sooner than wanted, an awkward silence followed.
The teacher hummed, summoning her smokepipe. Pressing against her lips and smoked her illusionated pollute. At the corner of her eye she saw her students talking, 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, how rare was it to see her students smile and laugh.
She smiled to herself as well.
