Chained and Tainted

THE DEVIL

With an aching body, Emris made her way down the grand staircase but she stopped midway when she heard Rior's voice talking to someone.

"You can't do this forever" The voice was familiar to her, like she already heard it somewhere she just can't remember when and where.

"I know that, Rendo". Emris heard Rior answered to Rendo, his younger brother. Now she knows why Rendo's voice is familiar to her.

"Then what's your plan?", The younger lad asked his older brother who's arms are crossed and leaning on the wall. While he is standing infront of his brother.

"The usual, Just because Emris last longered doesn't mean she's s-" Rendo's phone rings loudly, cutting Rior's sentence.

"I need to leave," Rendo tapped his brother's shoulder before fixing his eyes at Emris who's silently watching them on the stairs. "It's bad to eavesdrop at someone's conversation you know?". Then he walked away.

Now, Rior's attention is on Emris. His cold eyes pierced through her soul, giving her a chill down to her spine.

"Are you just gonna stand there?". Emris looked away before making her way infront of Rior, she stopped when Rior's body towered over her.

"Anong ibig mong sabihin sa pinag-uusapan nyo kanina ni Rendo?". She couldn't stop questioning the man, curiosity is killing her.

"It's none of your business". He answered making Emris pissed.

"It is my business, pinag-uusapan nyo ako. Isa pa ikaw ang kumuha at nagdala sakin dito sa bahay mo". Asik ng babae.

"You don't need to know", Muling sagot nito, Napabuntong-hininga na lamang si Emris at pinukol ng isang malamig na tingin si Rior bago ito nilagpasan para pumunta sa kusina, bahagya pa nyang binangga ang balikat nito.

To be honest, she doesn't know where did she get the courage to talk back like that to Rior, ever since he tooked her here she never talked back like that to him, even treat him like that. Rior always had the way to control her.

When she reached Rior's huge kitchen she began to ready the ingredients she's going to used, magluluto na lamang sya upang mabawasan ang inis na nararamdaman niya.

She baked banana loaf and cookies. She put some cookies in a bowl and the remaining were putted in a jar. She made two banana loaf so she kept the other one, kakainin nya ang isa ngayon.

She entered the Master's Bedroom and settled herself on the soft bed with the snacks she baked on a tray.

I'll just watch some movies

She thought so she open the huge television on Rior's room and clicked Netflix and chosed the movie that caught her attention.

Emris is now on the middle of watching the movie when Rior entered the bedroom. She glance at him before putting her attention back on the t.v

"I'm going to leave, I'll come back tomorrow afternoon". She heard Rior said while changing his polo. She didn't bother to answer. She doesn't want to talk to him.

But then her heart aches when Rior left the room with a car key in his hand without saying goodbye to her.

Nawalan na sya ng gana pang manood ng penikula kaya naman pinatay na nya iyon at itinabi ang tray sa side table.

Tumingin sya sa orasan at nakitang maga-alas kwatro pa lamang ng hapon ngunit parang pagod na pagod na sya.

Ipinikit nya ang mata hanggang sa dalawin sya ng antok at tuluyan na ngang nskatulog.

"Omg Rior! It's so nice to see you!". An excited feminine voice yelled as the woman throw herself on Rior and hug him tightly.
