"Happy birthday Cater, the
birthday boy!"

Everyone stood around the decorated table at Heartslabyul and cheered for the third year.

The latter blew out a candle on a "birthday quiche". Trey knew that his dorm mate disliked sweets, so he took the liberty to prepare something he
thought he would enjoy more.
(Still making it "magicam-worthy".
Like the ginger would say.)

"Thx guys~! You're all such cuties for preparing this for moi~." Cater clapped his hands together and exaggerated a content sigh.

"It's nothing Diamond-senpai. And once again, happy birthday." Deuce said with a smile as Ace shrugged a bit with an easygoing grin.

"Congrats." The freshman briefly offered his 'celebrating words'.

"Awee, a special thanks to my fav freshies~. Trey told me you helped out. The prefect as well~!" He slung his arms over their shoulders and winked at you.

You smiled and Riddle cleared his throat, gesturing to you. "Didn't you have a gift for him? It should be given before the end of the party, like the rules express." He said and you nodded.

"You got me a gift!? Aww you're such a cutie-pie!- ah." Cater started dramatically but slightly widened his eyes when he saw you picking up a relatively big, rectangular box.

"Woah there- I thought it'd be a lil' something! You don't have much money hon, don't spend it on lil' old me! I'll feel bad." He sighed and twirled a strand of hair with his finger. You couldn't have afford a phone for yourself! You still used the worn out one that Crowley had given you a while ago.

"I just wanted to get something you'd like, it's really not a problem." You smiled sweetly and passed him the gift.

"I'll love any gift, as long as it's from you, hon!" The ginger third year said as he opened the wrappings, when he finally took the lid off the box he froze at the object in it.

"Oh darling, come here! You really know me, ilysm!" Cater threw himself at you and squeezed you in a bone-crushing hug, rubbing his cheek against your face with a big grin.

"W-what is it?" Deuce curiously leaned over and peeked inside the box.

"Yeah. The prefect refused to tell us, going on about how 'you'd let it slip up and ruin the surprise'!" Ace mimicked your voice and looked over as well.

"Because there would've been a really high possibility of you two doing so." Riddle deadpanned and crossed his arms. As he did, his eyes also went to the box, wanting to know its content as well.

"Oh, it's a- drum rolls, please~! Ta-da~! A skateboard from them truly!" The birthday boy announced loudly, holding up the skateboard for everyone to see.

"I didn't know you could skateboard, Diamond-senpai!" The blueberry head exclaimed.

"He mentioned it not too long ago, that's were I got the idea for the gift." You quietly explained with a hand rubbing the back of your neck and a shy smile.

"I talked about it for barely two secs while I was havin' one of my ramblin' fits! ...I didn't think you'd actually listen to all that..." Cater said, surprised, and mumbled the second part to himself.

"Well, let's get a pic to commemorate this moment, yeah? Com'here!" He said immediately after, bringing you into a side hug and taking out his phone, he then took a selfie with you beside him and the board at the center.

"Thx a bunches, hon!" He grinned widely and squished his cheek against yours.

You held his face with both hand and turned it toward you. Since you were so close just earlier, your noses were almost touching. You smiled brightly with a slight warmth reaching your cheeks. "It's my pleasure. And once again, happy birthday!" You said and pushed your foreheads together with a giggle.
