The day of the photo shoot was here. Amaris headed to the rented studio before minx to set everything up. Meanwhile, minx was sat next to Schlatt while on a call with James. "You want to what?" Schlatt asked rubbing his face.
"I want to fly down and surprise Amaris with a cute date." He said wincing at Schlatts reaction.
"And you're sure you wanna do this?" Schlatt asked.
"I've never been more sure about anything ever."
"What would you do and when?"
"I'm looking at spots to rent in Texas to set up like a small picnic dinner type thing. Then we'd probably just stargaze for a while and talk. I want to fly down next week, but it would be a day after I fly down so I'm not extremely tired from the flight." He said rushing it out so he wouldn't get cut off.
"An-" he was cut off.
"For fucks sake Schlatt! Quit interrogating the poor man. Let Amaris go on the date, all you need to do is get James to his hotel room the night before and drive Amaris there the day of. There's no need for all this back and forth questioning." Minx said annoyed with Schlatt. She knew how protective he got of his sister, even if he was younger. She knew how important Amaris was to him. She knew he would break someone's limbs (or nose) if they disrespected Amaris when he was around. Carter was proof of that. "Amaris can decide who she wants to date. James that's a great idea. We'll make sure Amaris's calendar is free for the date and that she doesn't know until the moment she arrives."
"Thanks minx...and Schlatt." He was hesitant with saying Schlatts name by the death glare that was being drilled into his eyes. Minx said goodbye before ending the call and dragging Schlatt with her to the studio so he didn't try and threaten James again.

Time had flown by and it was two days until James was leaving to the US. To Texas. To Amaris. He was excited to say the very least. One small little thing he hasn't done yet was pack. As he was putting some clothes into a suitcase his phone buzzed and the very familiar name popped up.
Incoming call from Mari <3 Accept or decline
"Hello." She said cheerful as he shoved clothes into his bags.
"Hi, Mari. How are you?" He asked.
"I'm doing good. Minx is leaving tomorrow though. She said she needs to get back to her cat and she has other stuff to attend too. Then she muttered something about how I might be needing my bed for the next couple weeks or something. I couldn't quite hear so I don't fully know." James rolled his eyes, glad it's wasn't a face time so she couldn't see. That little...well minx. He thought before Amaris continued. "She said she had set me up on a blind date too, but who sets you up on a blind date and leaves before it happens. I guess I'll just have to text her after and tell her how terrible it will be." She laughed.
"What makes you think it's gonna be bad?" He asked.
"Well, I've got my eye set on this one guy. We started talking recently and I don't think he's the date." James' heart sank maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe he'd been getting the wrong signals. No, maybe you'll be better than the guy she's been talking to.
"Oh, well I wouldn't go into it with the mindset it's gonna be terrible cause maybe the guys actually decent."
"Yeah. You're right." She sighed before she heard rustling in the background. "What're ya doing?"
"Oh, I'm packing. I'm visiting Quackity in two days and I haven't packed yet." He thought of quickly.
"Well, say hello to Mr. Minecraft for me."
"I will. What're you doing right now?"
"Editing minx's pictures. I'm on the last few. I was editing the shoot video for the past two days but now I'm onto the photos." He could hear her mouse clicking away along with some typing every now and then. "Whenever we see each other in person I need to get some pictures of you. You've got a good face for them."
"Are you hitting on me?" He smirked, even if she couldn't see.
"W-well i wa- I don't- I was ju-" she was flustered.
"I'm kidding. I would love to have my picture taken by the great Amaris Schlatt." They laughed and fell into a comfortable silence after that. The only sounds being the clicking of Amaris's mouse and shuffling of clothes from James. It was nice. They didn't always need to talk they could just sit together in silence and be as content as possible. Amaris had music playing softly in the background so if James knew it he'd lip sync or softly hum along.
