*Lea's POV*

I'm literally about to die. This class couldn't get any more boring. Ms. Johnson keeps droning on and on about our U.S. History. As if I needed a thorough lesson of how these white colonizers put us into slavery and killed us. I looked up at the clock seeing that we had about 15 minutes left. This was going to be torture. I raised my hand and asked to use the bathroom. Ms. Johnson looked at me sternly before sighing and waving me off, signaling for me to hurry up and go.

I quickly made my way to the bathroom and hopped up onto the sinks. Smoke escaped from my mouth as I took a hit of my joint. I'm not usually one to smoke but I do it occasionally when I'm bored and tired. The joint started to hit when I heard something in the stall in front of me. Shit, I didn't even check if anyone was in here. "Sorry..." someone said with a quiet whimper. They excited the stall, my eyes not leaving her once as she sauntered over to the exit door.

She had long dark brown hair which cascaded down her shoulders. She was wearing black and white converse, black leggings, and a grey zip up hoodie which was slightly too big for her. As I looked up to her face, I saw that her eyes were slightly bloodshot. For someone I didn't even know, I felt kind of protective of her. It was like I needed to know what happened to her. She was about to exit when I spoke.

"Hey...are you okay?"

She turned around and looked at me with a facial expression that held a little bit of shock. She smiled slightly and I saw the sadness in her eyes as she forced herself. "I'm okay. Thanks for asking."

"Wanna hit?"

*AJ's POV*

Her name was Theresa Steele. It fit her so well to be honest. We were both bored of this class already, so we decided to play a little game. I would draw something, and she would have to add on to that drawing. I'll admit, it got interesting really fast because she would come up with the most random things. I drew a moon to start, and she drew what was supposed to be a man in heels wearing a sombrero. I didn't look like that at all.

"What even is that?" I whisper laughed at her.

"It's a banana?? Isn't it obvious?" She glared at me while smirking. My god was she stunning. She really did have such a beautiful smile.

My eyes locked with hers longer than I would have liked because I started to get flustered and looked away. The only thing that I heard was her small giggles in the background of the ring of the bell.

"What class do you have next?" I asked.

"English and Writing." She replied while shrugging.

"What about you?"

I looked at my schedule and saw that I had Calculus.

"I have calc sadly, but I might walk you."

"Might?" She said with a confused and playful tone in her voice. "Nope. You're walking me since you suggested it." Then she grabbed my forearm. I felt a feeling of butterflies in my stomach all the way up to my arm where she was touching me. She tugged me through the crowds of highschoolers walking in the opposite direction of us. Despite all the loud noise and commotion around us, the only thing I could focus on was the fact that she was still holding my arm.

*Theresa's POV*

I was walking with AJ, my newfound friend at this school. She was kind of a nerd because she was so good at drawing. It was actually really cool to see someone draw that good. I thought that today was going to go terribly because of what happened earlier, but surprisingly when I started talking to AJ, things got better. She had this calming quality about her that just instantly made everything slightly better. Not to mention, she was funny, and she didn't feel fake. She was just so real and down to earth.

Then I heard a voice I hoped I would hear.

"Hey Reese's puff."

I stopped abruptly and I felt AJ stumble into me a little bit. I heard her murmur a quiet apology. She was so adorable. wait what?

I turned around and ran into his arms. I jumped up into my boyfriend Ben's strong arms. It wasn't like he was extremely built, but he had enough for you to not want to mess with him.

"I missed you so much." I whispered into his ear, running my fingers through his short but curly hair.

Ben was dressed in a hoodless zip up black and white hoodie with a white shirt under it, black joggers that fit him so perfectly, and his white high-top forces. I looked into Ben's eyes and kissed him deeply on his perfect lips. He tried to slip tongue, but I broke away. "We're in school Ben..."

"I know, but I just missed you." He replied softly, the gruff in his voice evidently there making him sound slightly more grown since the last time I saw him.

Ben was the perfect guy honestly. All of the girls wanted him. He could probably pull Zendaya for all we know, but he stuck with me.

"I've got to go, but I'll see you later, okay?" He said as he kissed me goodbye and walked in the opposite direction of me, blowing air kisses as he left. He was such a goof.

It was only then did I realize that AJ wasn't there anymore. She probably just left because she didn't want to be late for her class. I don't know why her leaving without saying goodbye bothered me so much though.
