NIGHT's POV:

DUST's company has been a life-changing experience for me, even if I can't feel it but I can feel his positivity flowing out of his figure. He has been asking me questions as to why I chose and kidnapped him and continuously pestered me until I gave him an answer.

"You were currently suffering in a negative AU caused by Ink yet he didn't even do anything so I helped you, I saw potential in you so I had to recruit you."

"Classic response, boss."

"Rather than calling you Sans, there are multiple versions of you and me. I'm preferably called Nightmare."

"..dust."

I chuckle before nodding my head as he was in deep thought before breaking out.

"What's the other versions like?"

"Depending on how the codes are. If the AU is bad then the sans is bad, if the AU is good then the sans is good but it's depending on their environment."

I replied with ease, I had been monitoring different timelines and alternate versions based on how they act and be like. I sigh, my sockets narrowing before another questions rolls out of the toothy grin of the skeleton.

"You're in a journey of.. balancing the multiverse?"

"Yup, in order to do that I had to recruit you and the others in the near future."

The skeleton only glanced at me in silence as the eerie of the night gets louder and louder, I grin and think of a thought.

"Oh yeah, make sure to get rest tomorrow. It's gonna be your first mission on helping me balance."

I reminded the skeleton as he nodded in agreement, plopping down the nearby bed and fell asleep immediately. His snoring was loud, I'll probably assume that their day was stressful since the louder you snore the stressful your day was.

Being the Guardian of Negativity I am, I don't sleep unless needed. I have the habit of staying up late at night then suddenly getting overpowered by the negativity surrounding me, besides I can only rest if the negativity is too much.

"..do you think Ink's the culprit?"

"Notice the comments on Ink, Night. Of course he is."

"How do I successfully seal the ghost now?"

"Send it away by using your positivity since it feeds on negativity."

"That's easier said than done."

"That's why you gotta stay determined, you're the self-proclaimed King of Negativity."

Corrupt sighed in tiredness, hearing him and his reassuring words feels like.. a parental figure telling you the rights and wrongs about this accursed world. I already feel like giving up already, let Ink just simply have my emotions so I don't have to worry for more.

But something is telling me to keep on going, holding out hope for me. Shining vibrantly like the moon, giving light and guide to your way home.

I sometimes am skeptical about myself making me question so many things, well I suppose I'm lucky enough that I missed the day where we had to pass the assignment. I chuckle silently, my breathy laugh alarming the goop lord.
