I think I spent the last week laying in my bed wishing I was dead instead of my mom. I missed her so much. Nana tried her best to get me to go outside but she didn't leave the house much either. Death was a terrible thing. And I couldn't deal. I felt dead on the inside the tears wouldn't even flow anymore I just felt completely empty.
I heard footsteps walking towards my room. I dug my face deep into my pillow hiding underneath the blanket hoping Nana could see I didn' want to move and just leave. But my plan backfired when I felt the blankets being ripped off. I let out a tired groan and pushed my head deeper under the pillow. "Nana please don't" I groaned and curled up into a ball.
"Nice try Bell. But its not Nana," I heard the faint voice of Carson coming through the pillow. Wait Carson?
I lifted my head off the pillow glancing at Carson standing beside my bed. "What are you doing Carson?" I asked. "I am not getting up."
"Well then I guess I will have to make you." He replied before effortlessly reaching down and lifting me off my bed tossing me over his shoulder. I started kicking at him but he only laughed.
"Carson put me down this instants!" I screamed. "I'm not going anywhere!"
"Bella! We only have this weekend before we go to school and I am not letting such a pretty girl like you sit in her room and wallow in self pity practically ruining her new life!" Carson said using a forceful tone. "Now I am taking you out today whether you like it or not. So you can either shower in the pool or cooperate and take a damn shower!"
I stopped struggling. But he continued to walk downstairs towards the pool. We passed Nana in the kitchen laughing as she watched the scene we were making. "SHOWER!" I screamed "Carson I will take a shower just don't throw me in the pool!"
Carson stopped at the edge of the pool and I sighed with relief realizing I wasn't going swimming this morning. He shrugged his shoulders. "Well we are already here and I don't want to carry you back upstairs. Soo... This will have to do" He said before throwing me towards the water. I let out an ear piercing scream as the water splashed over my head. I resurfaced throwing a glare at Carson who was standing on the edge laughing.
"Not cool." I said through gritted teeth. "Now can you help me out so I can take a real shower before leaving?" I asked sticking my hand up towards him. He went to grab my hand and as soon as it was close enough I grabbed his hand yanking him forward into the pool. I didn't think it through though because he came crashing down on top of me pushing me back under the water. I gasped and opened my eyes at the same time as Carson. He saw me struggling beneath him and flipped us over so he was on the bottom grabbing my hips and pushing us towards the water surface. I felt a strange tingling and warmth where he had his hands placed. I inhaled a huge breath once my head broke the surface. The look on Carson's face was priceless. It was full of pure shock before it turned into an evil smirk. He lunged forward and started tickling me. I screamed and laughed until I couldn't breathe. And then I started begging, "Carson stop." I said between breaths, "Please Carson stop. I. Can't. Breathe." I finally managed to let out.
"Not gonna heppend Bell. Not until you tell me that I am the best and most perfect human being on Earth!"
"Fat chance buddy." I breathed and he continued to tackle me. "Fine." I breathed. "Fine. Carson you are the best and most perfect human being on Earth." I let out in a little above a whisper. Carson mad eye contact with me his hands no linger moving on my hips. His head lent down towards mine his eyes darting from my eyes to lips in question. I glanced down at his soft pink lips wishing nothing more then for him to kiss me. I glanced back up at his eyes leaning in to meet him halfway. His lips touched mine and sparks flew through my body making butterflies flutter in my stomach. I could feel him getting ready to deepen the kiss when I heard the pool door slide open. I pulled back looking at Nana who started to blush.
"Sorry guys. I just came to check on you it got awfully quiet." She apologized before closing the door and walking back to the kitchen. I turned back to Carson who was looking at me so tenderly that I wanted to pull him into another kiss. But I didn't.
"I should go get ready." I breathed out. Starting to pull my arms away from his neck.
"Can I just try something first?' He asked filling my stomach with more butterflies.
"Sure" I replied in a whisper. He leaned in brushing his lips back against mine. I responded to the kiss wrapping my arms around his neck pulling him closer to me. I felt him smirk against my lips as he deepened the kiss. We pulled back to catch our breaths keeping eye contact.
"Now you should go," he whispered with a short chuckle at the end. I smiled and unwrapped my hands from around his neck walking to the edge of the pool. I hopped up on the edge and right before I walked through the door I turned around giving Carson and honest smile before turning and leaving the room. I walked upstairs pretty sure I was leaving a trail of water behind me. I grabbed a white t'shirt, pink bandeau and a pair of jean cutoffs heading for the bathroom. I hopped into the showery washing every bit of chlorine off of me. I got out of the shower throwing on the clothes I had on the side. I walked out of the bathroom a huge smile on my face. I blow dried my hair and curled it into soft ringlets. Opting for soft natural make-up I applied a small amount and grabbed my pink flip-flops skipping down the stairs.
I saw Carson at the door and gave him a one second sign with my hand before heading to the kitchen to say goodbye to Nana. "Hey Nana." I said entering the kitchen. "I am heading out with Carson. I'll be home later."
"Alright sweetie. Have a nice time!" She exclaimed as I headed back towards Carson. He smiled as I walked towards him.
"Ready to go?" I asked slipping my feet into my shoes.
"Yep. I am all set for our date." I looked up at him when he said date and a blush overtook his cheeks. I laughed.
"So this is a date now?' I asked feeling my cheeks heat up.
"Only if the beautiful girl agrees to it"
I blushed again. "And what if the beautiful girl doesn't agree?"
"Then I guess that I will feel pretty stupid about the kiss earlier."
I couldn't help but laugh. "Well then its a good thing I agree then."
"Ya it is" he said opening the door and grabbing my hand leading us towards his truck.
