Chapter 4:
*timeskip to the day they leave*
I'm getting ready to leave for California. I had a great competition yesterday. Our group dance won and so did Chloe and I's duet! Right now I'm deciding what clothes I should bring on our trip. I decide to film all my clothes and send it to chloe so that she can help me decide. A few minutes later my phone lights up saying "New Message From Chlo😍👭💕" I quickly slide to see what she said

💕bring the pink tank top, black yoga pants, plain purple shirt, a couple of the shorts, the white tank top, blue tank top, and then whatever else you want.

I put all the clothes chloe told me to bring in my suitcase along with some others and begin filling my carry on bag. I put in makeup, perfume, my ipad, my iphone, and most importantly, me and Kendall's photo album. "C'mon Maddie it's time to go" my mother calls. "coming" I say grabbing my stuff and running downstairs. I grab an apple and head out to the car putting my luggage in the trunk but keeping my carry on in my lap. We then drive to the airport where we will meet chloe and christi and board our plane. The drive there goes by pretty fast because I listened to music the whole way there. As soon as I walk into the airport I see chloe and run over to her hugging her. "Hey chlo" I say "hi mads" she says. "excited?" She asks. I nod. We then go through security and eventually board our plane. Once were on the plane I take a selfie of me and chloe and post it on instagram with the caption "California bound with my bestfriend😊💗 @chloelukasiak33" I instantly get tons of likes. The whole plane ride there me and chloe take selfies, listen to music, and gossip. Once were there we get off the plane and grab our luggage. Then we head to the hotel. All I see on our bus ride to the hotel is the beautiful sight of palm trees and I know this is where I'm meant to be. When we get to the hotel it's so beautiful. The 4 of us are sharing a room. Me and chloe get one bed and our moms get the other. We immediately go to the pool. After that we eat dinner and then head off to bed. I grab my photo album and look through the pages for the thousandth time. Then chloe looks over "who's that?" She asks "oh my old friend kendall" I answer "oh. What happened to her?" She questions "she got shot at a dance competition two months ago. It was actually the same place we went yesterday for the comp" I say "aww maddie I'm so sorry. Why don't you ever talk about her?" she says hugging me. I hug back and say "thanks and because it's a hard topic for me" "oh" she says and we both fall asleep. I can't wait for tomorrow but all I can think about is how much better it would be if kendall was here.
