I walk into the shop
And I see a cop.
Eating a donut.
I put on my apron.
And clock-in.
A beautiful girl
Wearing white pearls
Walks in.
She looks like she's never sinned.
She orders a donut
And while doing that, I see her cut.
"Are you hurt?"
I ask.
"No. It was just Professor Bert."
I ask what she means.
She explains that she's very keen
So she goes to advanced
Leaving all of her friends
To prance
Around.
"Was that who Bert was?"
"My teacher. He's a big ball of fuzz."
I stare into her eyes.
I could get lost in them.
They're more ever-lasting than pie.
Deep blue pools.
I try to act cool.
"So, have any plans for the weekend?"
"No. I've just got some letters to send."
I smile
It's a big goofy grin.
"Can I fill up your Saturday?"
"By all means, as long as you pay."
We made a plan.
I'll go over at four.
Then, she'll walk out the door.
We see a movie,
Something scary I hope.
Then we'll go shopping,
She's running low on soap.
After that, we'll go out to eat.
Just some pizza and I'll buy the seats.
I'm so excited
For our little date.
I can't wait
For our little date.
