Chapter 3

Canada's POV>>>

I heard a knock on my door and checked the time. It was 3:30am. Who could be at the door at a time like this? I flicked on a few lights and shuffled over to the door. I slowly opened the door to see who it was. It was Belarus. My eyes widened and I gasped when she grabbed me and slammed me against a wall. I gasped and she began to punch me repeatedly. She kneed me in the ribs and I fell to the floor. She grabbed my hair and slammed my head onto the floor several times. "Stay away from my brother!" she hissed. "He's mine!" I felt tears roll down my cheeks. She pulled out a dagger and stabbed me in the back as I reached for a phone. I quickly dialed for help before blacking out and laying limp on the floor. A few hours later I woke up in a white medical room. I slowly opened my eyes. No one was here for me, because I had no one who would notice that I'm gone. A nurse came in and smiled at me. "Hello Matthew, someone is here to see you." she said softly. My eyes widened a bit. "If it's a girl, I don't want to see her." I said quietly. "It's a kind young man." she chuckled. I sighed and closed my eyes. "Okay." I said softly. I heard someonewalk over to me. I looked over and saw Russia sitting in a chair next to my bed. "I-Ivan?" I asked softly. He nodded and smiled. "I saw my sister covered in blood and had a feeling you'd be her target and so I came here. I'm sorry about her." He said softly and
looked down. "I-It's okay...it's not your fault." I said softly and looked at him. "Why did you come here to see me anyways?" I asked quietly. He looked up at me and grabbed my hand. "Because I care about you." He said softly and looked into my eyes. I felt my heart skip a beat as I looked back into his eyes. "R-really?" I asked softly. No one had ever really cared about me before. "Da, really. I care about you very much." He stated simply and smiled. I smiled and closed my eyes, falling asleep.
