There was fur flying around the deserted clearing. The only thing left was the faint smell of blood and sweat. A lonely warrior stalked around the edge of the clearing spraying as he went. Three other cats padded behind him.
"Woodfoot it isn't safe to be here after yesterday," Hissed a small Tom behind an alert Tom with a stiff walk.
"shhh Brightpool do you want to wake up the whole of the forest?" meowed the great Tom. The other two cats looked defiantly at the him.
Half way through the day before there had been a huge battle for territory between Fireclan- a scrawny but strong group of cats- and Earthclan - strong muscular cats with a rich amount of prey. Earth clan had won but lives had been lost. The whole clan was mourning for Berryjaw a Tom who was thought to be a she-cat when he was born but turned out to be a male. He was a strong cat and well respected by the whole clan. His death would surely be avenged!.........
