Ch. 1 The Accident

Danny POV
My name is Danny Fenton. I'm fourteen years old. My parents built a machine to the Mer Zone, but when it didn't work they just quit. When my friends Sam and Tucker went to check it out, Sam told me to look inside. We couldn't find a hazmat suit so
I just walked right in. I couldn't see so I touched the walls for help.

Click. I was being electrocuted and the pain was unbearable. Everything went dark.

Sam POV
Danny went inside. He went inside! I thought he'd chicken out. I looked at Tucker and he was scared, heh sissy. I looked back towards Danny and I heard a Click. The next thing I know is he is screaming and being electrocuted. I powered off the machine and me and Tucker pull Danny out. I get one good look at Danny and begin to panic.

He is unconscious, has black and white scales, fins for his ears and on his wrists, his hair is white, and he has a tail! Tucker snapped me out of my thoughts and pointed to Danny. He groaned and started to open his eyes. "Danny!" I shouted and hugged him as tight as possible. I pull away and looked at his face "Oh my gosh!" his eyes are green too. He didn't say anything. He's just staring at me. Strange.

Danny POV
I heard my name but it sounded muffled. Everything is blurred. I feel arms wrapped around me, then I realize it's Sam. I think I blushed. Sam pulled away and gasped. "Oh my gosh!" I tried to speak but nothing came out so I just looked at her hoping she understood. "Danny are you okay?" she asked. Well she doesn't know it hard to speak. I tried to speak again.

Sam POV
He tried to speak but instead of words he weezed. He grabbed his throat and tried again. Another wheeze. Tucker jumped to the rescue "I think water will help be right back." he went upstairs to get some water. I looked at Danny, and he was looking at his webbed hands in fear. He looked to me and began to hyperventilate. I cupped his face and told him that everything is okay, "When Tuck gets back we will fill you in" I finished as he began to calm down. Tucker came back with a big pitcher of water and a small cup.

He poured the water into the cup and I looked at Danny. He was propped up on his elbows drooling. Wow. I helped him sit up and handed him the water. Danny quickly grabbed the cup, chugged down the water, and threw the cup. He looked at the pitcher, leaned towards it, and grabbed it.

Me and Tucker looked at each other in shock, then at Danny. The pitcher was over half way empty! He finished drinking and handed Tucker the empty pitcher. "S-sorry I couldn't control myself." he let out a nervous laugh. "It's okay Danny." I said. He looked at his tail and got scared again. "W-what happened to me?" he asked. I was holding him so he was in a sitting position "When you were being electrocuted I guess you became a mermaid. Er, merman." I replied. I felt him start panicking again so I hugged him and stroked his now white hair.

After a while he fell asleep, his head rested on my shoulder. The next thing I knew is a big white flash and Danny was back to normal!
