Ch.13

*Danny's P.O.V.* 

"Come in the water guys! Moe Moe won't bite." I told Sam and Tuck, earning an nod from Moe Moe. "Y-you sure...?" Tucker asked. I laughed. "Yes, Tuck. I'm sure." I replied. He slowly began to to take off his shirt and shoes, leaving him only in his army-green shorts. Tucker advanced into the water. "C'mon Sam! This is awesome!" Tucker beckoned her. She shook her head with a smile. "No thanks. I forgot my swimsuit." She replied. Tuck and I shrugged and played games with Moe Moe.

*A Little While Later*

Sam was sleeping in the shade of the cave and Tucker was still playing with Moe Moe. I was floating and looking at the ocean life around me. "A mermaid!" a girl shouted. "Gah!" I shouted, jumping in surprise (More like spazzing awkwardly). I whipped around, not noticing Sam and Tuck doing the same. I noticed Paulina, Dash, and a few other popular kids looking at me with eyes the size of dinner plates. 

Once I registered the presence of Paulina, my crush, I Told Tuck to hide and motioned for Sam to do the same. They did so and looked back at our guests. I advanced cautiously for both mine and the populars' safety. Once I was about 10 feet away from them, I made sure Moe Moe was with Tuck and looked wide-eyed at the teenagers. "H-hello...." I said, shyer than I intended. 

"Hello, merman. I'm Paulina. Do you have a name?" Paulina smiled at me. At me! Omgomgomg! Calm down Danny. I nodded hesitantly. I don't have a name! Well, I do but I'm not gonna tell them my real name. "Danny....D-danny Phantom..." was what came out. That has a nice ring to it... Paulina's smile never faltered. "Hello Danny. Do you mind if I come closer?" She asked. I shook my head ever so slightly. 

She walked towards me and I watched her closely. I angled my tail so I can easilly escape if needed. Since the water was the clear, light blue kind, someone was able to see my tail if they were close up.  "That's an amazing tail, Danny. Can you show us a few tricks? If you can that is." She smiled again. Of course I was still being shy, my stupid instincts were forcing me to. 

I nodded slightly and swam out a little further. I did things a dolphin would do, such as flips. jumping in and out of the water, etc. I made my way back to Paulina. "That was amazing!" she paused. "C-can I touch it...?"  I just looked at her as she touched my tail. Why does it feel so nice? Then I felt some fingers massaging my ear-fin. I flushed in nervousness, gazing her in the eyes.

She only smiled. She ran her fingers over my gills, causing me to let out a shaky breath at the nice touch. I felt my face heat up more. She pulled her hand away in slight shock, her smile faltering. "I'm sorry! I-if you don't like it I'll stop!" she fumbled with her fingers. I gave a small smile. "It's fine. I just haven't felt that before." I reassured her. making her smile again. "It was nice meeting you. I have to go, but maybe we can meet up again?" She asked, standing up. "Sure...Goodbye..." I said as she left, and swam back to Sam and Tucker. 

"Lets go. I have to process things." I said. Moe Moe find somewhere to stay we'll be back. She then swam away and I changed back to Fenton and we began to walk home.
