"Can you grab that flour sack honey?"
"Sorry my hands are full, Sasi go get the flour for Papa."
They ceased mindlessly chewing on the hem of their mothers cloak and nodded, waddling off towards the cupboard importantly.
They strutted past Odë's sleeping form on the floor, and yanked slightly on the door to the pantry. It swung open revealing the dark recess inside.
"Hmmm, it's scawy. But I'm a big brave moth, I can do it!" With their own half hearted words of encouragement, Sasi plodded timidly inside. They looked around at the dark shadows which became illuminated slightly whenever they walked closer due to their Light force. They scanned the many symbols and labels before seeing the bag marked flour.
They grabbed onto a corner of the burlap and yanked it off the shelf, resulting in a slight tearing sound. But ignoring that they slowly worked on dragging the bag out and back towards the kitchen.
"Here Momma! I got you da flour!"
Sasi looked up happily to see the room empty. They looked around at the rapidly deteriorating walls and floors, as if a fungus had spread to dismantle the room.
"No, not this again." They thought, their mind fighting with the Void. Sasi smacked the side of their head, hoping it would shock them back to reality. If anything this seemed to make it worse. They dropped their hands again as their vision grew blurry and the room faded away. The blank featureless space of the Void stretched in front of Sasi as they fell down onto their knees, slowly growing back to their current hight and age.
"What in Eden is going on!" They screamed into the darkness.
"I'd watch my tongue if I were you Aryonwyn. You never know who's listening."
Sasi gasped as they felt a cold blade rest against their spine, slowly digging deeper.
They shuddered as they lowered their head in defeat. They were too tired and confused to fight back.
"Please... Don't kill me." They said focusing on rapid rising and falling of their chest.
"Kill you? Aww, now why would I do that? I wouldn't dream of it. Especially when you are so crucial to my plan!" Sasi gasped in pain as the cloaked figure yanked them upright as they whispered in their ear.
"Ha ha! No no Aryonwyn...I need you alive. Ohh but don't worry, that doesn't mean I can't hurt you!"
Sasi screamed out as the blade sliced straight through their ribs. It wasn't like their stab wound before. This one was cold and dark, like it was slowly sniffing out their light from the inside. Corrupting them.
The figure pushed them over onto the ground continuing to walk further into the dark before turning back and fixing Sasi with their glowing teal stare, and cold smirk.
"After all, how else are you going to get back to reality?"~
