It has only been a couple of days since my talk with Kaachan. He tries desperately every day to get me to open up. And each day I have been unknowingly pushing him further away. I don't want to, but it just seems better for him if I am not around.
That brings us to this afternoon. I didn't wait for Kaachan today. I felt sad and a bit guilty, but I know this is better for him. He just needs to let me go and forget me.
I started home in a different direction than we normally take. I had just walked underneath this bridge when suddenly I heard a voice behind me.
"Ohh you will make a perfect meat suit!" the voice eerily slithered. I shivered. Then, a slimy substance was encasing my body. It slowly traveled upward and forced its way into my nose and mouth.
I gagged and sputtered. Each attempt of taking a breath replaced with more slime. My ears were ringing. I was panicking.
Nobody knows I am down here. I could die. I have to use my quirk!
But maybe it is better if it all just ends here. A haunting voice whispered in my head. I had to agree with the mysterious voice. Maybe it would be. So, I just gave up and welcomed being taken over.
Only moments before my vision went dark, the sludge villian was suddenly gone.
The next thing I know, my cheek is being slapped. Successfully waking me. As soon as I realized the feel of someone touching me, my body froze in fear. The man looked down at me seemingly distracted. The sludge villian contained in some bottles hanging on his belt.
He was really big, with huge muscles. Short, blonde hair pulled back with two pieces standing up distinctly above his head. Blue eyes watched me, somewhat impatiently.
This is All Might! The All Might! The one Kaachan and I have looked up to for so long!
"Well, boy, now that you are okay, I really must go!" I watched him prepare to launch away before I screamed at him to stop. "Wait!!"
The next thing I did has to be the most stupid thing I have done in my entire life. In my defense, I was not really thinking.
I latched onto his leg. My hands circled around his leg clutching my own arms, careful to not touch him. I cringed at the touch and contemplated releasing him. But one look below us kept my arms clinging to him, more fearful of falling to my death.
"Boy! You can't go grabbing onto heroes, let go!" he yelled below him, apparently not thinking of our current situation. I looked up at him incredulously.
"I'm sorry sir! But if I let go, I will probably die!" I can't believe he would tell me to let go with us at least twenty feet in the air!
He brought us down on the roof of a tall building. I quickly let go, willing myself to not go into a panic attack from the prolonged time of human contact.
"Now I really have to go!" All Might turned, preparing to leave again. "Wait, please!" I yelled. Then All Might was suddenly coughing violently, blood splattering into his hand. I watched him in concern, noticing a strange string of smoke coming off of him.
"All Might, are you okay?" He didn't look good. He looked like he was really hurt. My eyes widen in shock when suddenly All Might goes poof! Smoke circling him heavily.
The smoke cleared revealing a skinny skeleton of a man. The features of his face were sharp and angular, with the presence of eyebrows absent. He had blonde spiky hair, two bangs framing the sides of his face. Sunken in blue eyes looked at me depressingly.
I gasped in surprise. I knew that this was still All Might, but he looked so different. A form foreign to what he is known as. "All Might?" I whispered out, already knowing that it was. I may not be sure how or why, but I knew it was him.
The skeleton in front of me let out a deep sigh. "Yes, it is me." he coughed again, more blood sputtering into his hand as he slumped down to the ground. I watched him with concern. He just stared back at me. "You had a question?"
I snapped out of my thoughts. "Y-yes sir! I wanted to- I mean- That is I-" I struggled with forming the question now that I was standing in front of the number 1 hero. I was nervous. I know the reaction Kaachan had. I also know the reaction my parents and the other boys had. I have no way of knowing what his will be.
All Might waited patiently as I struggled to form a coherent sentence. "I wanted- needed to know, All Might. Can someone with a villainous quirk become a hero? No, that's not right. A monstrous quirk is more like it." All Might stayed silent, thoughtful for a moment. I was scared of what his answer may be.
"If you don't mind me asking, what is your quirk boy?" The sudden question startled me. I didn't expect him to ask me.
"Um- I'm not really supposed to say. It's dangerous." I mumbled out. All Might's face was still pensive, but some thought caused his face to turn grave.
"I can't really give you an accurate answer with so little information. But I can say that if you fear your quirk as much as it sounds you do, then no. Becoming a hero will be impossible, and dangerous for others. I may not know what your quirk is, but if you have such a strong reaction against it, I can only assume it is highly dangerous. To others or to yourself. It is best finding a different path to walk down, before you become a danger to others."
I stared at him speechless. I knew the answer would not be something I wanted to hear. But hearing his answer dashed the little hope I still held of become a hero. I eyed the ground passively, studying the many grooves and cracks in it. All Might had stood to his feet and jumped away, without me even bothering to look his way.
Maybe they are all right. I really am just a monster. A villian. A danger to those around me. Maybe I should just leave, it would be better for everyone if I did. I just had to meet All Might today. Just had to open my mouth, just so my hopes could be crushed beneath my feet.
Tears flooded my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. It left my vision a blurry mess. My throat burned from holding back the sobs that were fighting to escape. I clenched my hands, cursing this stupid day.
Sounds of explosions came from nearby. Not just any explosions though. No, that was Kaachan's explosions! I have to get there! He could be in trouble!
