-- flashback to your second year of high school --

Looking up at Gojo, you sighed in annoyance. "I hate Yaga-Sensei sometimes." you told him, attempting to sit up, which only ended up with you transporting yourself onto the floor.

Laughing, Gojo stepped away. "Well, you lasted longer than last time." he said kneeling to try to pick you up, only for you to move across the room again.

"Don't touch me. I can do it." you told him, getting defensive.

He looked at you expectantly. "Well sure, miss independent. Let's see you do it for yourself." he said, stepping away from the bed.

You looked at the bed, trying to focus on getting from the counter to the bed without getting too excited or distilled and going somewhere completely different.

You weren't exactly feeling excited - but it was the adrenaline you had. While fighting for prolonged times, half the strength of your abilities come from how much adrenaline is being built.

If the fight was rather slow and easy going, the adrenaline rush wasn't exactly the strongest. However, if it was heads on and somewhat aggressive like the one you had previously, the after effects end with your abilities being off the chain if the extra adrenaline, or excitement, isn't later worked off.

And so, you're left with this mess of abilities, white, blue and reds shooting out - and somehow occasional purples.

You were just on edge. Which, you liked to call staticky.

Anybody you touched would get the worse end of the stick if you weren't completely still, and anything you went through would either be broken or caught on fire. No matter what it was you were using.

Involuntary reactions, Yaga-Sensei would call it. And he decided that pushing you to the edge at least three times a week, or as much as you could physically go, was best if you wanted to get a hold of it.

While you won't be able to grasp it completely, it's best you at least tried to extend the stamina of how long you could be prolonged before the effects set in and you went haywire, and a practical safety hazard.

"C'mon. Said you wanna do it on your own." Gojo said once again.

You were so close. But it was so hard - the more and more you tried the more difficult it got.

"Satoru." you sighed, almost giving out. You glared at him, noticing him looking at you expectantly. "Don't do this."

"Do what?" he asked, waiting.

You looked at him, noticing he wasn't budging until you said it in full. "I can't."

"Can't what?"

"Will you please just help me get back on the bed." you said quickly, refusing to meet his eyes.

Chuckling, you waited for him to lift you and carry you over to the bed. "Stubborn til the very end, hm?"

"Shut up."

Smiling, he laid you on the bed once again. "You gonna stay still this time?"

"Oh, shut up." you said, looking away. "How long are you gonna be here?"

"Until you're able to move without darting through objects." he told you. "Yaga-Sensei said I was in charge of you, so we'll be here for a while."

You groaned. "Why not Ieiri or Utahime?"

"Because they wouldn't have as much patience you require." he told you, opening a book.
