It was the time of the Goodwill event, consisting of Kyoto vs. Tokyo, in which they fight in intense jujustu battles.
In the past few weeks, a hell of a lot has happened despite little time passing. It seemed to you that you popped up at the right time.
In short, Yuji had technically got his body taken away from him for overusing Sukuna, and Sukuna being the petty bastard he was, made something less of a deal and more of a pact with Yuji.
Which, of course, Yuji cannot remember.
How do you know, exactly?
Assumption. Investigation, a little detective work and piecing together what Sukuna would normally do, it made it easy for you to assume Sukuna made some sort of pact with Yuji, in which Yuji'd have to forget in order not to speak of it, while Sukuna gets to have his way however else.
The same old selfish bastard you were told of.
And then, of course, there's the part where Yuji was claimed as dead for a while. Until, of course, you were told by Gojo he wasn't exactly.. 'dead'.
Instead, Sukuna was feeling some sort of generous, and revived Yuji. And, in the meantime, Yuji was trained.
At first, you were in fact mad. You viewed Yuji, and all the others as your students and damn near your kids. So, Gojo telling you to 'stay calm', while he basically told you one of your most precious student that was presumed as dead is not, in fact, dead, but rather, missing off the face of the earth for a while, made it very hard to 'stay calm'.
As if that made the situation any better. Though, you were glad you were told eventually, and earlier than the event.
You were afraid you would've punished both of them harshly if Principal Yaga didn't insist that he'd handle it, somewhat.
And during the Goodwill event, you were practically sitting on the edge of your seat, watching Maki and Megumi do amazingly well.
Keeping a close eye on Nobara, you saw amazing structure building in her as well. It impressed you.
And considering it was your first time seeing Inumaki and Panda fight, you were quite intrigued.
All in all, you were satisfied with everything that went on. Between Maki and Mai, you had a few mixed feelings. You were concerned when you saw them fighting, though happy Maki came out on top with her ambition.
The one of many things that made her such an amazing student.
Then, with Yuji and Todo, you watched them closely. You admired how despite being enemies, Todo was willing to help Yuji grow as a fighter, getting a good laugh when Todo assumes Yuji is fine with being weak after being hit on the head.
Todo, if anybody, helped Yuji extend his limits for the greater good.
You admired that, in an honest sense.
Meanwhile, you got a laugh with Nobara's smarts as well. Not only that, but how she handles the situation with her opponent, Momo. However, threw a fit about Nobara being shot.
While it was a rubber bullet, it still annoyed you.
With Megumi, you got to understand his cursed technique a bit better, which you decided to take notes of mentally to be able to teach him specifically better.
You took note of all of them actually - you wanted to be able to help them with their own personal strong suits and their weaker habits in order to have them excel largely.
In the end, everybody came out mostly alright.
And you couldn't help but be excited for them to heal to try out some new things with all of them.
Surprisingly, you couldn't help but check on them daily. Making sure Yuji was alright, then Maki, then Megumi, then Nobara, then Inumaki and Panda.
You loved them all.
"Satoru," you called for the white haired man, who was busy eating.
He hummed, looking up at you in curiousity.
"Have you seen Yuji and Nobara today? They aren't in their rooms." you told him.
Gojo nodded, putting his food to the side for a moment. "They're training again, didn't they tell you?"
You looked at him confused. "No, they did not. I assumed Nobara would be sleep as always, and Yuji reading. Why are they training this early?" and then, something else hit you - "And they're training again?"
"Oh, calm down." Gojo sighed. "They're eager, and while Megumi has been contemplating on going out as well, it's probably for the greater good."
You crossed your arms, closing the door behind you. "Humor me."
"They don't need to be babied, Y/N." he told you, sighing. "You always spoil them."
You sighed. "Because they deserve it, Satoru. They've been working so hard lately, and it's amazing. I love seeing their progress, but sometimes it's better they rest."
Gojo chuckled. "I never expected you to be the doting type."
Shrugging, you couldn't find a proper response. "They're like my kids at this point.." you told him. "Can't help but wanna spoil them sometimes."
"They're fine, trust me. They aren't being distracted from anything they should be doing as teens anyways. Much better than either of us." he said, standing to open the blinds. "Their youth is still theirs, as far as I'm concerned, they're fine."
You couldn't help but feel off about it though.
"Yuji is fine, Y/N-Chan." Gojo said, pointing to Yuji and Nobara training together. Noticing her fighting style seems similar to yours. "You taught her that, didn't you?"
Looking out the window, you saw Nobara mirroring the way you defended yourself, reactions quick and focused.
"She's so precious." you said under your breath, and somewhat carelessly.
Gojo groaned. "Here we go again."
"What?" you asked, looking at him as he grabbed his drink, offended.
"You're always doting on Nobara and Megumi alike." he sighed, "And sometimes get caught up in the result of you teaching them."
You rolled your eyes. "They all have high potential. I just need to take a few more notes on Megumi, and teach Nobara focus and patience a bit more."
Gojo hummed, putting the glass down. "Speaking of Megumi, he consistently talks about you."
You looked at Gojo confused. Megumi? The quiet one? And sometimes the one who you forget is even there? "That's interesting."
"Mhmm.. y'know he appreciates how you try so hard to understand his technique." Gojo said, watching as Maki walked outside with Inumaki and Megumi. "I'm glad it's you supporting him. I'm no good with kids."
"Trust me, I know." you told him, walking toward the door.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
You shrugged, removing your black, leather trench coat. "They seem eager enough to train, why not get out myself?"
Smirking, Gojo admired the way you folded your coat over your arm, sleeveless mock neck making a special appearance. "I'd like to invite myself."
You rolled your eyes, walking out with a curious and somewhat flirtatious Gojo behind you.
