Jenn's pov~

Today my best friend Jack is coming over. I really like him but I could never tell him that. He's supposed to be here in 10 minutes and I'm starting to freak out. I've never felt nervous before seeing Jack. He's my best friend. I shouldn't be nervous at all.

I go downstairs to look for Lauren to try to keep my mind off of Jack. I walk in to find her on the couch watching Netflix. Should I tell her about Jack? Lauren is also my best friend. She deserves to know. Maybe it'll help me calm down a little bit.
"Hey Lauren?"
"Whaaatt?"
"I need to talk to you about something. It's kinda important."
"Oohhh! What is it?"
This is harder than I thought. I need to just say it.
"I-I like..." I took a deep breath. "I like Jack."
"Oh my god are you serious? Jenn this is great!"
"Thanks Lauren. But what should I do? He should be here any minute!"
Then the doorbell rang. It's Jack. I looked back at Lauren. She just winked at me and said "You got this." I walked over to the door and took a deep breath to calm myself. It's just Jack. It's okay. And then I opened the door.

Jack's pov~

I'm in my car sitting in Jenn's driveway. I'm a few minutes early but I don't think she'll mind. I really like Jenn and I really want her to like me back but I'm almost positive she doesn't. I walk up to the doorstep and ring the doorbell. A few seconds later Jenn opens the door. She looks so beautiful today. Not just today though. She's perfect every day. I can't think of one flaw about her. She's smart, extremely pretty, funny... But she's my best friend. If I tell her I like her and she doesn't feel the same it'll ruin our friendship. My thoughts were interrupted by Jenn.
"Jack?"
"What?"
"Come on!" She laughed. Her laugh was so cute.
I followed her over to the couch where Lauren was and sat down. We greeted each other and had a short conversation and then Lauren got up.
"I have some work to do" she said as she winked at Jenn. What was that about?
"Okay. See you later then." I said.

After Lauren left, it was just me and Jenn. And for the first time ever, it was kinda awkward.
"So... Is there someone special in your life?" She asked me. Shit! What am I supposed to say? I don't want to ruin our friendship but I think it's time she should know.
"Well there is one girl that I've liked for a while. She's absolutely flawless and is perfect, but she doesn't think so. She has a smile that lights up the room and her laugh is the cutest thing ever.
"Oh. I'm really happy for you." Saying with a sad look on her face. Was she jealous? Did she not realize it was her I was talking about? How could I make it more obvious?
"So who is the lucky girl?" She asked. Here goes nothing.
"Damn it Jennifer Ann McAllister, it's you. I love you. I think you're perfect. I always have. I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way but i really needed to tell you. I really do love you so much." That was it. I just confessed my love to my best friend.

Jenn's pov~

Whoever this girl is that Jack likes is super lucky. I wish I could be her. She's flawless and I'm just trash.
"So who is the lucky girl? I asked.
"Damn it Jennifer Ann McAllister, it's you. I love you. I think you're perfect. I always have. I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way but i really needed to tell you. I really do love you so much." he said. I'm in shock. It took me a minute to process what he just said. Is this real?
"Can I tell you something Jack?" I finally said.
"Go ahead." He said smiling.
"I love you too. I love you so much." I'm so happy right now. I can't believe this is actually happening. Then he started to lean in. The next thing I knew, we were kissing. We've only kissed one before, but that was a couple years ago. Since then, he's gotten a lot better at kissing. I felt electricity running through my whole body. The kids was passionate and loving and slow. It was perfect. I have no clue how long it lasted but I never wanted it to end. After we pulled away, we decided to go change into more comfortable and watch movies on the couch. We laid down and started watching some random movie on Netflix. We didn't pay much attention to the movie because all we could pay attention to was each other. We were cuddling each other with my arms and legs wrapped around him and my head on his chest. I felt myself start to get tired so I closed my eyes. Right before I fell asleep I felt something warm on my lips. Then I heard Jack whisper something.
"Goodnight my love." He whispered.
'This is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.' I thought as I drifted off to sleep.
