10) Screaming night

Yuzuki POV

So far, is everyone adjusting to this world, even though they never get to be outside and experiencing the world I call home. Sure we have taken them to a nearby park, beach and the mall to get them more clothes to blend in. And luckily, our video where we announce a fake contest of wearing vampire, werewolf and oni features, made sure to avoid unwanted attention. But I still wonder, if there is a way to bring them back to Shinga... And when that happens... Should I go with them or stay?

*Faint scream*

''What was that?'' Ask Hanbee-kun shocked at the scream of a female, which was followed by something being smashed. It was faint, but this and all other houses are well isolated.

''Stacy.'' Mumble Emily-kun and suddenly jump over the couch and towards her cellphone. But before she can do anything, starts her phone to ring. Emily-kun immediately answer it and put it on speaker. ''Stacy, was that you screaming?''

''Y-Yes. Please help.'' Beg a familiar voice of a young teenager, living in the next door house.

''What is going on? Are you and the twins safe?'' Ask Emily and run to the main entrance and have a look around the closest. At this point, is everyone on the edge. Even Ty-kun jumped and start putting on his shoes.

''Something black, ghost like thing, came to our garden door a-a-and destroyed it. I grab the twins and r-ran upstairs. Please help us.'' I hear poor Stacy beg in a low and shaking voice.

''Something black? Ghost like?'' Mumble Yukimura-san and look at the others, who seems to picked that part up to.

''We are coming and are calling the police, but please stay on the phone and stay quite.'' Order Emily-kun and take out a metal baseball bat, a shotgun and small hand guns. She give the shotgun and a hand gun to Ty-kun, while she keeps the bat. Then they run out of the house. We all follow after them, after I open the locked closet for their weapons. They only take the normal swords or a dagger, not a big sword or a spear.

3rd POV

Emily and Ty run down the road to the neighbor house, that is to the right of their own home. 

''You take front, I take back. Call the police too.'' Instruct Emily to Ty and run over to the fence to jump over it and enter the backyard. Emily noticed the glass garden door is completely broken, so who ever did this must be strong. So now she has to be on guard.

''Emily.'' Call out Hideyoshi and come into view with all the other Genga Tribe members. They all have their swords in hand, ready to fight. ''We might know what is going on, but we need to see it to be sure.''

''Then you have a lot to explain, if it really is what you think.'' Demand Emily serious and walks inside, carefully not to step on the glasses to make some noise. They all split up to check the main floor, some even stayed outside to check the nearby forest, while Emily go for the stairs to check the first floor. Emily slowly approach the floor, when something black pass the staircase. ''Stacy, which room are you in?''

''Parents bedroom, fartest one at the end of the hallway to the right.'' Answer Stacy in a very low voice, barely a whisper. Emily lean on to the wall and take a peek, only to see a black figure with white foggy hair standing in the middle of it, slowly getting closer to the said door. Emily reach out to the handgun and point at the strange thing.

''Hey, ugly.'' Call out Emily, knowing it will gets it attention and also warn the others downstairs. The thing turn around to show its glowing blood red eyes and wicked smile, but the moment it did it, shoot Emily it without remorse. The bullet hit it head on and make the thing disappear into a mist and vanish in the thin air. Emily quickly dash for the room and open it, to find it empty. ''Stacy, Eric, John. Its me, Emily?''

''Emily.'' Call out Stacy and open the wardrobe closet, which is their hiding spot. The two ten year old twins run over to Emily to hug her. Stacy get out of the closet and going to Emily, when she spot something behind her and scream. Emily flinched and look back to directly look at the same black thing. Out of pure refleks swing Emily her baseball bat and slam its head, but this time it stayed intact. The black thing make some screeching noise and stand up straight, ready to strike. Emily push the boys and teenage girl behind her, so she can protect them, but when the thing want to do its move, pierced a sword through its chest. The thing vanish with a cry and reveal the culprit behind the sword. It was Kanbee.

''Are you four alright?'' Ask Kanbee and put his sword in its case.

''Scared, but fine.'' Speak Emily for the three, who is visibly shaking. Kanbee nodded and look at the door to the hallway.

''There aren't anymore in the house, so evacuate through the front door. We will search the forest, then meet you at the mansion.'' Instruct Kanbee to Emily, who nodded in return and grab the twins hands, to guide them out of the house, with Stacy following close by. Ty and Yuzuki are waiting out there, waiting for the police to arrive. Kanbee went the other way to avoid exposing of their unnatural appearance. That is even why a vampire came to their rescue and not a werewolf.

''You are alright.'' Says Yuzuki in relief and lift her arms out to open up for comfort hugs. The twins takes in the hug, while Stacy wanted Emily's. Now tears steams down her cheek, as Stacy let out how scared she is.

''It is okay.'' Hushed Emily in a whisper, then hear the sirens coming in. ''You were brave and did what your parents told you to. You called for us, you protected your brothers and now you are safe.''

*Time skip*

The six tribes waited for Yuzuki, Emily and Ty to return back to the mansion. But their findings in the forest, might be a bit worrying. They waited for about an hour, before the three humans returned back together and returned their items in the closet.

''Everything is alright now.'' Start Emily to explain the end of this sudden chaos. ''The kids got collected by their grandparents, so they have a place to stay for now, and we have twisted the truth for the authority to be an attempt robbery. The gang was wearing full black with mask so we can't describe them.''

''And we will turn up the mansion security, so what ever that thing Emily saw with her own eyes, won't get in here.'' Inform Ty and meddling with a box.

''Which turns the attention to you guys. What the heck was that thing?'' Demand Emily and look at the Gegga Tribe, specifically Hideyoshi because he agreed to tell the truth.

''It comes from our world.'' Start out Hideyoshi with no hesitation. ''It is called a Yakuma. And they are blood seeking beings, most specifically, seeking for Yuzuki's blood.''

''Apparently I have the blood of a 'princess' that created the Gegga Tribe, named Himemiko-sama.'' Add Yuzuki to help the explanation. Emily hummed and clearly want more info. Masamune took over the explanation, so Hideyoshi won't be the main target for Emily's glare.

''While we six tribes were in war against each other, did we share a common foe with the Yakuma, even destroyed the nest they came from, together.'' Explain Masamune calmly.

''And they appeared right after Himemiko-sama vanished.'' Add Nobuyuki with historical fact. ''Afterward, have they appeared here and there in small group in a steady paste. But the moment Yuzuki-san came to our world, increased the Yakuma's appearance and follow Yuzuki for her blood, which is similar to Himemiko-sama and has the ability to awaken a Gegga Tribe members true power.''

''So, they somehow managed to follow you all to our world.'' Says Ty and take a seat on a leaning chair.

''It appears so.'' Agreed Mitsunari and push his glasses up. ''The small attack on your neighbors house, let us to believe they are creating a nest nearby, to make more of their kind and take Yuzuki.''

''So we need to find it and destroy it?'' Ask Emily, taking all these info calmly.

''But we found no trace of such nest.'' Says Nobunaga out of the blue. ''There were only a few scouts in the forest, but no sign or clues to conclude a nest in this world.''

''Then maybe...'' Mumble Yuzuki suddenly. ''There is a portal or an opening to Shinga, that they are using to come here.''
