New Life and Family - Mashton/Cake

Duncan already knew how to walk and stand, but the one thing he hasn't done was, say his first words.

Luke was playing with Duncan who was holding Luke's penguin.

"Come on, Duncan.. give papa the penguin" Luke said.
Duncan nodded no and turned his head away from Luke.
"Come on, Duncan" Luke said nicely.

Duncan still nodded no.

"When can he start speaking?" Michael asked.
"I don't know.. I was going to ask the same thing about Melody.." Luke answered.
Michael shrugged.

Ashton came walking in with Melody, he was giggling, Michael saw Melody wearing a bandana and holding Ashton's drumsticks. He smiled and kissed Melody's cheek, Luke laughed at how she looked.

"She looks like Ashton now" Luke said laughing.
"Traitor, I thought you were going to be like me" Michael said to her.
"She looks cute, right?" Ashton said giggling.
"P-Papa!" Melody said.

Michael, Ashton and Luke looked at Melody suprised.

"W-What di you say, Melody?" Ashton asked.
"Papa!" Melody said slightly smiling.

Michael smiled happily, held her and kissed her cheek.

"Thats my girl!" Michael said to her proudly.
"Our little girl said her first word!" Ashton said happily.

Luke smiled and looked at Duncan, "when are you going to your first word?" Luke asked him.

Later...

Calum was strumming his guitar while, singing softly, Duncan was Calum's only audience sometimes. He started sing the song She Looks So Perfect to him.

Duncan watched Calum strumming the guitar, Calum smiled.

"You like the guitar?" Calum asked as he smiled.

He took his beanie off, put it on Duncan's head and looked at him.

"You looked like your papa now" Calum said.
"Who looks like me?" Luke asked as he sat next to Calum.
"Duncan" Calum answered.

Calum kissed Luke, Duncan saw them kiss and grabbed his penguin and hugged it trying to ignore Calum and Luke kiss.

"M-Mama!" Duncan said.

Luke and Calum broke the kiss and looked at Duncan.

"W-What did you say?" Calum asked.
"Mama!" Duncan answered.
"He said his first words!" Luke said smiling.

He held Duncan, smiling and kissed his cheek.

"Duncan finally said his first words!" Luke said.
"Yeah!" Calum said proudly.

He looked at him, "thats our boy!" Luke said to him.
