Not out of the game yet

I could hardly sleep and I tossed and turned the whole night

I could hear the voices of people out in the lounge and struggled to decide whether or not I'd be joining them, that's when my question was answered for me

"Y/n?" Laswell knocked at the door

"yeah, come in," I spoke in frustration of not being able to sleep

"We are having a game night, some dumb thing Price wanted," She said gesturing to the door

"well dont got anything better to do" I laughed

"you still smoke?"

"only if you won't tell my wife" We walked into the hall and stepped out for a moment before opening up the door to a balcony

Rain lightly poured onto the metal roofing echoing through my ears

I lit a cigarette and handed her one

she took a drag and coughed a little but she was a pretty irregular smoker so it was expected

"So how are things Y/n?" I looked up at the sky and the stars

"The same as usual, working with a team again is taking getting used to though"

"Yeah I get that, you like it here? On this team?"

"I guess" I laughed a bit before continuing
"I've been lectured more times than we have gone on missions"

"I hear that" She looked down
she gave me a look like she didn't know whether to talk or not

"Well... I am required to tell you that after this mission if you want you.." she paused for a moment

"You can go back to being a solo act... The 141 brought you on board for this mission in Siberia... You don't have to stay after this if you don't want to"

I just looked at her

Becoming solo again? That was hard to imagine I mean everybody here is like family now

But if I went solo again I could focus more on my missions and not have to worry about others

"You don't have to decide now... In fact, you don't have to decide at all if you want I can permanently place you here"

She put out her cigarette as I was thinking

"Come to the lounge when if you want ill tell price to wait for you" she smiled and started walking before turning back

"And Y/n... Just because I told you about this offer does not mean I want you to take it, you have grown on this team" and with that, she left

I sighed and looked down

This was just another thing to add to my thoughts

Putting out the cigarette I walked into the lounge and I saw everybody gathered around talking

I slipped in almost unnoticed except for Rudy who inevitably saw me come in

"You ok? You look like there's a lot on your mind"

"Yeah just thinking about something Laswell said... Say why aren't you with the others? "

"ay  I only really know Alejandro well" he pointed to Soap and Ghost

"Those two are practically always side by side"  then he switched his focus to Gaz and Price standing next to Laswell

"And those three are like a family, I don't fit in well if Alejandro isn't directly involved" I looked around the room not seeing him
