Chapter 2

~Kaylie's pov~
It has been 11 years since the house burned down. In those years, I turned 15, we moved into Cam's summer home in Chino, and I'm about to start boarding school. Yay (note the sarcasm) I mean, we have to wear uniforms..... who does that to kids? What about fashion and self-style? Uuhggggghhh!!!!!! Just kill me now!! "Honey are you ready yet?!?" My dad calls out. "Almost, dad!! Be right down!" I take one last look in the mirror and smooth out my dress. Perfect.
*At school*
Dad, Cam, and I walk into the school to enroll me. "Oh you must be Ms. Espinosa!" A younger lady says. "Yes ma'am I am. Is my schedule ready?" I ask as nicely as possible. "Yes here you go sweetheart" she says, handing me a piece of paper. I gladly take it and kiss dad and Cam bye. "See you after school Cupcake." Cam says. "Love you Cam! You too dad!" I look up at the lady who gave me my schedule. "Is there anyone to show me around?" She smiles "yes there is. Mr. Floyd? She's ready!" (Hayes isn't a Grier in this one. Sorry! He's a Floyd like his sister.) "Coming!" I hear a guy yell. He steps out of the main hallway. Holy Jesus he's cute I think to myself. "Haha thanks. Not bad yourself Espinosa." I start to blush like crazy. This kid just said I'm cute. Oh ma gawd. Maybe this school won't be so bad after all.

~Hayes' pov~
Yesterday I was told that I would show a new kid around. This school is only for famous kids or the kids of famous people. So after hearing that, I started guessing on who it was. Never did I ever guess that it would be Kaylie Espinosa. I've stalked all her social media's for as long as I can remember. She is perfect. In every way you could imagine. I'm looking forward to the rest of the school year now that I get to see her face everyday. But there's one bad thing about it. She's human. Most of the creatures here EAT human. Not hang with them. So I'll have to protect her from the dangers of this school. Will I be able to hide it from her? I'm not supposed to lie to people. I protect them. It's an Angel's job. I just hope she accepts it.
