Wednesday, January 19th, 8:30 pm, London, England.

We arrived late, by choice of course. No sooner had we entered the room than a man with a strange moustache accompanied by a woman with an ostentatious appearance accosted us.

- Miss Luciano, I am Oswald Mosley and this is my fiancée Diana.

- Nice to meet you. This is Giuliana, a friend of the family, Finn Shelby. and I have it on good authority that you already know Thomas Shelby. I answered politely.

- indeed. Do you have any luggage to send up to your rooms? Oswald asked.

- We weren't planning on staying here overnight, thank you. Thomas answered for me, which made me angry.

- I'm afraid you have no choice, with the storm forecast for tonight, it would be suicide to take the road, especially for a long trip. And I know you're from Birmingham. Don't worry; all four of you will have two of our nicest rooms. replied Oswald.

Well, that's the last straw! Already that I find myself here with Thomas, I will have to spend the night with him? No way! I'll sleep with Giuliana.

- Well then. I say.

Oswald and his wife excused themselves and went to someone else.

- He's invasive, but he seems quite harmless to me. You've been worried about nothing. I said to Thomas.

- Well, you're quite wrong, my dear Valentina. He replied with the most condescending attitude I have ever seen.

- It doesn't matter. I say while rolling my eyes.

I go straight to the bar and order a whisky.A glance in the direction of Giuliana and Finn made me realize immediately that sleeping with her will be impossible.

- Do you dance? asked a man I have never seen before.

- Yes, but not with you. Thomas replied, taking my hand and pulling me to the center of the room without I being able to say a single syllable.

- What was that? I asked irritated, but trying to put on a brave face.

- You give your trust way too easily. He replied, obviously dodging the question.

- I don't trust anyone but my father. And why should I trust you more than anyone else in this room? I asked.

Of course, I greatly appreciate dancing and I must admit that I have known worse dancers, but this dance has a tendency to irritate me.

- I don't know, you tell me. He says while plunging his glance in mine.

- What do you mean?

- You slept at my place these last two nights, if I'm not mistaken, we avoid sleeping at the place of people we don't trust. He answered without ever taking his eyes off me.

Ok, he's not entirely wrong.

- You say that as if I had a choice, I wasn't even conscious the first time and the last time was close to kidnapping.

- what was stopping you from calling a driver or Finn to take you home last night? he asked with a chuckle.

Okay, he's absolutely right about that.

- And you, why do you trust me? Because if I'm not mistaken, we avoid letting someone we don't trust into our home. Especially, when you are a man of such great importance as yours. I answered to change the subject.

- That will make two questions that will remain tonight, without answers. he said.

At the same time, the music stopped and Mr. Mosley stepped up to the podium.

- Thank you all for coming to this charity gala of the association "power to the fascist"! he said before being applauded by the whole assembly.

- Jesus!I say in a low voice.

That explains why Thomas hates him and why the invitation didn't say what the gala was for.I exchanged a look of shock with Giuliana who was at the other end of the room.

- You could have told me he was a fascist. I whispered to Thomas.

- You didn't ask me.he replied with a satisfied smile.

Mosley spent the next 15 minutes spouting the most ridiculous, outrageous and offensive words I have ever heard.

- I need a drink. I said as I headed for the bar.

Where the hell have I been?My friend soon joined me.

- Are you out of your mind?! Since when are you a fascist? she said, taking a drink of gin.

- I had absolutely no idea or we wouldn't have come. I say, lighting a cigarette.

- I'm still glad I came! Finn is great, thanks a lot by the way.

- ho, but the pleasure is mine! If you have a good time tonight, I'm glad you did, and I'm sure you'll be happy to spend the night with him.

- that's for sure. And you, apparently, you've been sleeping at Mr. Marble Gaze for two days, anything to tell me? Giuliana says, lighting a cigarette.

- I'm going to kill Finn. I say.

- In any case, he is very pleasant to look at so if you sleep with him tonight absolutely nobody can blame you! says Giuliana with a naughty look.

- Giuliana sweet Jesus! Go back to playing the beautiful ones near Finn and leave my mind far from these salacious thoughts.

- As you wish! But you'd better tell me absolutely everything.

- I promise, go away!
