"I, Neteyam, take you, Y/n, to be my beloved mate."

"Now, Neteyam, do take Y/n in sickness, and in health?"

"I do."

"Will you love her endlessly, no matter the obstacles that come your way?"

"Y/n, do you take Neteyam in sickness, and in health?"

"You may now kiss."

We had a white satin strip wrapped around our clinging hands. Flowers laced everywhere in my hair and I had pearl jewellery on me. Pearls and white coral flowers made up my outfit, and Neteyam wore white, plain bands where his usual brown ones would be and instead of colourful beads, he had white beads in his braids. He pulled me in real close and I pushed myself into him, so happy to be connected to him.

Cheers sounded as we held our lips together.

"I see you, Neteyam." I whisper into his ear.

His eyes widened and his ears twitched. "I-I see y-you." He smiles, stuttering in shock.

He kisses me one more time.
