Nini?
Why are you not responding?

Nini?

Lisa got startled when someone knocked by the window in the driver's seat. She lowered down the window manually, slightly embarrassed that the sound of the roller has a squeak keeping in mind to put some lubricant later.

"Irene?" Lisa asked when she sees the woman. She was expecting Jennie. Not Irene.

"Oh." Irene replied. "I thought someone I don't know."
Irene added. "I was about to go out too but see, you are blocking the driveway.. I was about to open the gates when I saw your car."

Lisa felt flustered. Not because she's blocking the driveway-which was 100% true, but because Irene looks ethereal this morning. She dyed her hair brown and is wearing very light makeup. Her lips is painted crimson and clear round glasses perched at the top of her nose. She'd never seen Irene looks so attractive and nerdy and she can't help but chuckle.

"Are you laughing at me?" Irene asked, crossing her arms across her chest.

"N-no." Lisa stammers. "It's the first time I've seen your glasses and I w-was thinking it looks cute on you."

Irene blushed.

"Sorry! I d-didn't mean to!" Lisa added.

Irene gave her an amused smile while she uncrossed her arms.
"If you are looking for Jennie, she already left.."

"What?" Lisa reacted. Irene didn't fail to notice the disappointment in her voice. Her face softened.

"How about you drive us to school?" Irene asked.
"I'll treat you breakfast."
"Let me get my things inside."

Irene didn't wait for Lisa to reply as she immediately went inside.

They rode in silence, not speaking with each other. The only thing that they can hear is the old stereo playing.

If I could be like that
I would give anything
Just to live one day in those shoes
If I could be like that
What would I do?

Lisa was surprised to hear Irene sing. She's expecting the woman likes pop, not alternative.

"You like them?" Lisa asked, testing the waters. Her hands are starting to sweat. They rarely share things about each other and most of their conversations were friendly in an acquaintance level - not friendly-but-hopefully-you'll-fall-in-love-with-me type. Though Lisa would appreciate it if it'll happen. Very much. Life owes her.

"Three Doors Down?" Irene replied. "Yeah."

"Really?"

Lisa sees Irene nodding in her peripheral.
"Aunt Taeyeon made me listen to alternative rock when I was young. She said pop songs will corrupt my mind."
"As if it's not corrupted already." She added with a nervous chuckle after.

Lisa smiled. She's happy that she's seeing a different side of Irene.

"Why was Irene with you?" Roseanne asked the minute Lisa sits down on her seat.

"Not now, Roseanne.." Lisa groaned. "I'm too tired to argue."
