There is a change of POV in this chapter
DANIEL
"Daniel!"
"Daniel!"
"Daniel"
For a sec there I thought I was also hearing a voice but the disappointment on my face when I saw Bryan was beyond measure - don't get me wrong I love my brother but I thought this unnatural occurrence was being taken to the next level.
I stood up and turned around to face him.
"What are you doing out here? Also, I was watching you for a few seconds stare into nothing. What are you looking at?" He asked scanning the environment for anything unusual.
"Uhhh..." I started and also tuned to look around but everything was gone.
"...Nothing?!"
"That didn't sound like nothing" he pointed out as he came closer.
It's not like I would tell him I just witnessed a weird supernatural occurrence and he would believe me. I wouldn't even believe me if I hadn't witnessed it myself.
"I was just thinking about everything and I'm fucking stressed out and frustrated at the same time..."
"But... I have a plan and it's gonna sound crazy..." Bryan said with a nervous smile.
"Oh no" I replied as I shook my head.
"Don't worry it's gonna be fine. C'mon let's go inside dad's coming home soon" Bryan says reassuringly and starts walking back towards the house.
I turned around one last time to see if I had just imagined it all.
An orange leaf falls down from one of the trees nearest to me. I haven't imagined it. It was real.
"What are you looking at?" Bryan asks confused.
"Nothing" I respond and scurry quickly to catch up with him.

While we waited for Dad to come home, Sophie reluctantly went home after she was called in from work. Jake decides to go with her after I call him aside and have a little talk with him.
No, I did not use dangerous ammunitions or threaten his existence. Although that sounds fun, I only told him that Sophie would appreciate some company at this time.
I'm left with Addison who had fallen asleep on the the transformable couch that you could turn into a bed in one of the rooms at some point later on after Bryan had left the house to meet up with a few friends. I get her a blanket to keep her warm and cozy. I know she won't admit it but this whole issue is taking a huge toll on her but she hides her emotions so well that i'm worried about her.
Bryan still haven't told me what his plan was no matter how much I probed him to tell me but all he said was "It involves dad".
Right now I am standing in front of our makeshift detective board and looking at things all over again. I still can't comprehend the fact that my former best friend and his dad could have a hand in all this. I have not received any new coded texts from the strange numbers either... Wait!
