Lillian's pov
I woke up to my alarm, it was 7am and I had to go to work. Today I don't know why but I had to much energy I guess it's because I went to bed so early since I was so tired.
I showered a got ready and went to work. Mom and dad we're still asleep so it was a peaceful morning.
The drive to work wasn't long it's 5 minutes from my house. I work at a small cafe managed by a sweet old lady named Olivia.
Olivia usually is the one who bakes in the back with one or two other people so we don't see her very often.
Unlike most people I like my job. One it's close to my house, two free coffee and pastries and three everyone there is usually very nice.
Surprisingly I also made a friend her name's Melissa, she's the one who helped me when I started working and I was completely lost.
I walked into the cafe and Melissa is already here serving some costumers. "Hey Lilian, your coffee and breakfast is here I alredy got it for you."
"Oh thanks"
I went behind the counter first thing I did was grab my coffee and croissant. I never had time to eat at home so Id usually eat here then start working.
I ate quickly and finished my coffee and then went to help Melissa with the long line of people.
Fist in line was a girl maybe around my age. "Good morning how may I help you" "Hi can I have 2 scones" "Yes and will that be it" "Yes thank you" the girl pays me and takes her things and goes to sit at a table with a boy.
They look happy, I'm a bit jealous I want something like they have. I mean I have a boyfriend but we don't look like that. Those two look like they're actually in love, yes I tell Andrew I love him but I don't mean it I just feel bad not saying it. I just want a relationship like they have and not one where we argue all the time.

Melissa left a long time ago, since her shift ended. Olivia to she usually leaves early to go rest at home, also she owns the place so she can do what she wants.
I have to close up the place and pick up everything tonight.
I'm cleaning tables when the door opens and I'm instantly excited because cleaning tables is boring.
I'm about to return around when someone hugs me from behind. I look up and it's Andrew and I automatically smile at him. "Hi what are doing here, don't you have practice" he usually has practice Saturdays around this time (4 pm) "coach let us go earlier"
"Oh that's nice, would you like a coffee"
"Sure"
I go behind the counter and make him his coffee order, he dosent have to tell me I already know what it is.
I hand him his coffee and we sit together at a table to talk since there's nobody here. We talk for an hour without arguing once. he told me how football was going and the scholarships he's trying to get, I told him about track and my friends.
Me and Andrew have our good moments and bad moments. This is one of those good moments that I cherish the most.
He's been a bit distant and busy lately so I think is good that we have some quality time together to talk.

Once Andrew left the cafe I finished cleaning and closed up.
I decided to not go home right sway. I drove to the groceries store to go buy some candy and maybe ice cream.
I felt like staying in my room tonight and doing nothing But eat candy and watch a movie.
I walked into the store and found my way to the candy aisle. I grabbed some of my favourites, jolly rancher's, Reese's pieces and those rainbow candy strips but I call them gay bacon. Once I had everything i needed I made my way to the cash with my hands full. I didn't feel like getting a cart or basket to carry my things.
I wasn't really looking at where I was going when I bumped into a hard wall and it caught me. How did the wall catch me, wait never mind it's a humain being.
"Lillian? Seriously we have to stop meeting like this" oh even better. Great, I humain being I know. I didn't even need to look to know who it was.
"Sorry Caleb" I didn't look up once I just looked at my feet.
"Why you always looking at your feet" I lifted my head to look at him. "Um...well usually I do that when I'm nervous.".
"So I make you nervous" I could see the smirk forming on his face. I felt my cheeks heat up and I knew my pale skin was turning red like a tomato so I looked back down. "I'm kidding lily" that's the first time he's ever called me lily he usually only refers to me as Lillian. I don't mind him calling me lily at all.
It was starting to get awkward until Caleb spoke up again. "So what's with all the candy" i completely forgot I had hands full of junk food. "Oh it's just a few snacks for myself" he nodded and the it was awkward again.
I didn't like the awkward tension so I just left "Bye Caleb" I walked, sorry more like I ran to the cash payed and drove off.
On the way home i made a quick detour. I wanted McDonald's so I got myself some nuggets of course.
I got home changed into my pyjamas and got into bed put the tv on and ate my food until I was full and then watched tangled witch is by the way my favourite princess movie.
The movie ended a long time ago and I had put some random series on Netflix as background sound while I watched tik tok on my phone. It was almost 12am and I was wide awake, as I scroll my for you page starts to get dark and sad and that's when I close my phone and try to sleep.
I'm not tried at all I just lay there on my bed look at the sealing feeling empty. That's when my thoughts kicked in and I started to cry. My parents and how I'm treated at home and all the arguing, I blame myself for all of it. Before me my parents were happy together and now I'm the cause of their problems.
Me and Andrew's relationship, always arguing and I'm starting to blame myself for everything. Maybe if I was a better girlfriend. Maybe if I worked harder. Maybe if I just disappeared completely it would make everyone's lives much more easier.
I stopped crying and just stare at my ceiling once again having this pain in my heart. At some point I turned the tv off so my room was pitch black.
I don't know for how long I was just looking up at nothing but a ceiling I can't even see with a blank emotionless face with dried up tears until I fell into a deep sleep.
