Summary:

Spending Valentine's Day with your boyfriend, and going shopping how lovely.

It's mostly fluffy, some stuff happens at the end, but it's not really that bad.

Walking through the cold dark streets of japan you held hands with your green haired partner. A small smile was present on your face as you continued to listen to him.

He spoke of topics that currently interested him, or pointed out random details of the streets ahead for you. You quietly listened, humming along or giving short responses as you enjoyed the current atmosphere around you.

"I think we should stop by one of these shops to get food, and also maybe buy some chocolate for you." Deku said while his green eyes began scanning the nearby shops.

You turned to look at him with a confused expression. "Why randomly buy me chocolate?"

"Well," he started. "I don't know.. it is Valentine's Day and that's stuff you're supposed to buy for your partner... right?" He said, sounding unsure of himself.

"To be far. I've never had a valentine before so that makes you my first, which also makes you special." He gazed towards you while smiling smugly, holding your hand tighter.

You let out a small laugh at his confession in his lack of experience in the dating scene, but beneath that you felt your heart throb when he said that. Said that you were special.

"Hmm," you thought for a second, thinking of the cheesiest response you could give back. "Well for me, each day is Valentine's day with you." You said smiling at him.

He stopped for second before a smile made a way onto his face. "God you're so corny." He laughed dragging you along, as he continued to walk you laughed and looked at him again, this time you noticed a slight blush beginning to grow on his pale freckled cheeks.

As his walk began to slow a bit, you heard him start to mumble to himself. "Oh yeah and also flowers, teddy bears, cards and stuff.." He thought more deeply about what people bought for their partners during this holiday. He had never really celebrated or had a valentine before because of being constantly busy with the league, completing "projects," or doing other jobs.

This holiday had also never necessarily interested him either, until he met you that is. So he began to rely on media like tv, advertisements, or just watching other couples interact with each other in order to understand and participate in this holiday just for you.

You personally, didn't care if he did anything for you during this romantic holiday. However watching him try to put effort in was very charming, and you were willing to do the same if you had known he even cared about Valentine's Day in the first place.

You two put your hoods up before walking into a store being heavily illuminated by bright lights inside, in contrast to the dark night overshadowing most of the streets. You two split up and began to wonder around the shop grabbing bottled drinks, easily microwaveable foods, and multiple prepared plastic wrapped sandwiches, among other things.

While looking around you felt a sudden yank on your arm, immediately looking towards Deku to see what he was motioning at. He excitedly smiled pointing at the small Valentine's section of the store filled with small stuffed animal toys, mostly bears, single flower bouquets, and differently colored heart shaped containers filled with chocolate treats. All of these items were sat on a shelve with discount stickers around them.

He dragged you towards the shelves before you had a chance to speak, stumbling a bit as your feet came to a stop.

"Look look look- there's a lot of stuff here." he said energetically, his eyes shining with excitement. You laughed at his enthusiasm starting to think that he may actually enjoy this holiday a lot more then you originally thought.

Spotting a single red bouquet rose, you reached out to grab it, and held it out towards him. "Here, for you." You smiled at him tenderly as he stared for a second before reaching out to grab the single rose.

You watched in awe as he examined the red rose, taking in the smooth petals, and the sharp thorns running down the stem. After a few minutes he looked up at the other items, seemingly searching for something. He then reached out grabbing a small brown colored stuffed bear, paws stitched together to hold a small red heart.

He grinned before giddily holding the bear out towards you. "A cute little bear just for you."
Feeling touched you reached out to grab it, and held it closely as best as you could while holding other items.

Finally Satisfied, you both walked towards the cashier's section, watching as Deku paid with cash. Your food items being placed into a plastic bag. You decided to hold onto the bear with your free hand, as Deku decided to keep his rose in the plastic bag while he carried it.

Walking past the sliding doors and out of the store, you reconnected hands with your cheerful partner. You felt warm, and overwhelmed inside from just being able to become all sappy with him. The person who made you feel so lucky and fully complete with.

Whilst stuck in your thoughts, the peaceful atmosphere of the moment was ruined when you had bumped into someone. Quickly backing up you looked towards the person you had bumped into, noticing their irritation clear on their face.

"Watch where you're going, fucking idiot." A man with shaggy brown hair, with a very oversized baggy jacket and jeans, slurred harshly. Slightly shaken you decided to quickly apologize to avoid escalating the situation further. Paying attention to his wavering stance, it was clear he was on something and not fully sober.

Taking a small breath you went to speak. "I'm sorry I was distracted-"

"What the fuck are you apologizing for? This asshole was clearly in your way and could see you." Spoke a very clearly pissed off Deku next to you. You forgot he was even there for a second, and when you turned your head to look at him he was glaring at the man in front of you.

The man turned his angered gaze towards Deku and went to speak, before you suddenly pulled Deku's Hand, pushed pass the man, beginning to scurry away in a rush. You knew if you stay there any longer it would grow into a larger altercation between the two, as Deku had a very short temper and could act very violent whenever he was angry enough. That's one of the few things you didn't like about him.

As you pulled him along you were met with some amount of resistance from him, as the man now a few feet away from you started yelling profanities at you. You just kept walking and ignored him.

At some point after walking for awhile, and nothing being said between you two, you noticed Deku stopped resisting against you pulling him. Which made you stop walking to look at him. He had a angered look on his face and was now glaring at you, before suddenly snatching his hand away from yours.

He was very clearly holding back his rage as he stomped passed you. Walking away ahead of you. His hand gripping the plastic bag handles tighter. You stared for a minute feeling conflicted before letting out a sigh, continuing to walk after him.

Hopefully he would just express his dissatisfaction with you, about not defending yourself, or letting him get involved when you knew it would've ended badly. Hopefully, Instead of just resenting you and ignoring you for days at a time again.

That's something he did that you really hated about him.

Valentine's Day was coming up, and I wanted to write something to celebrate (lol) because as much I don't necessarily enjoy or am fond of romantic relationships myself, I still enjoy the cheesiness of it all.

Sorry if this is short or bad again, this was very rushed and I procrastinated a lot, plus Ive just been feeling like shit recently so uh yeah. + if there's any errors I apologize, everything was written fairly quickly.
