Oliver scribbled down his notes explaining ratios, rates, and unit rates erratically. He looked up to the teacher as he proceeded to teach math. The boy glanced at the SmartBoard seeking the time.

2:36.

We're almost done, thank God! Somehow, this was super hard...

The mathematician glimpsed to the left of Oliver, staring at two girls who seemed immersed in their conversations. Oliver took a peek at his classmates as well, unknowingly of what was about to happen. If only he'd gotten out of there! He must run to Yohio with his tail between his legs, he must!

"Una, Flower, stop talking, I'm up here."

Something must have gone off when Una, not even maintaining eye-contact, muttered, "Why should I?"

Oliver's heart dropped, dropping his gaze to his fumbling hands. No, no! Una! Why is this happening? Can't we all just be one happy family? Please? I beg of you, I beg!

He awaited the teacher's response, his hands getting sweaty, as if he were anxious. Which he most certainly was!

"Una? Would you care if you repeat that?" the educator uttered in a dangerously serene and phlegmatic voice.

Oliver gulped, starting to squeeze his hands together to ignore the situation. He knew the teacher heard what the younger girl said, for all was quiet in this class.

"I said, why should I?"

At that very moment, Oliver knew it was over for his friend. He squeaked in pain, flashing a look to his hands which were still clenched tightly together, his nails trying to pry through his flesh. He immediately stopped, glancing at the marks his nails left. Thankfully, his skin wasn't intruded, but it still hurt a ton!

Great! Another thing to add to this mess! I foolishly and accidentally hurt myself and now my hand's all red.

He felt the gaze of someone on his back and he began to panic, seeing that they looked concerned.

I hope they don't think I did this on purpose...

Oliver felt his body tremble vehemently remembering what was happening.

"Una, do you really want to go down this road...?" The teacher seemed unimpressed, crossing his arms.

The poor lad stuck in this monstrosity of a situation started to tap his foot against the floor softly, anything to distract him!

Tick, tick. 2:37. Today, time seemed to not be his friend.

"I do, thank you very much," Una snapped sassily. Oliver repelled the idea to look her in the eye, scared if he did so, that he'd get a glare from her.

"What have I ever done to you? To any of you guys?" Oliver stiffened, knowing he was doomed to stay, in this one heck of a ride.

Where is my brother? I just want to see him, I need to tell him about my day... I can't take it Hio! Where are you? I just want to keep everyone happy, but if I side with the teacher... Una may hate my guts! If I side with Una, I'd be a bad, and horrible student. Hio, help!

Though, those thoughts would never reach Hio from the classroom.

"Why are you talking back? Why are we playing this game?"

"Because I want to." Una sniggered with a scoff.

"Why must I be in this?"

Una instantaneously came up with a response which got Oliver on edge.
