Chapter 1: Talia P.O.V

It's junior year and I'm already filled with anxiety realizing I have to see Clarke soon. Clarke and I dated last year when I met him while in a bad relationship with Stephon, Axel's brother. Clarke and I hadn't talked in months and we were just starting to warm up again... but I was so nervous to have to actually see him. On the other hand, right before school got out for the summer I met this cute, amazing guy named Alejandro. We talked all summer, I'm really hoping to get somewhere with him this year and be able to put Clarke in the past.

Tuesday morning and I rush to get up and put on my brand new outfit for school. Sloppily, I get my bag together and grab an apple for on the way to school. I walk outside to hear honking and look over to see Haylie's new silver jeep wrangler with the four doors, top down, and everything. Maia was already in the passenger seat. "I forgot Haylie could drive us now", I thought as I got in the back of the car.

We drove around the block to pick up Lillian, and off to school we went from there. Luckily, Missoula is a pretty small town, I guess it is pretty big if you compare it to the rest of Montana. It only takes about fifteen minutes to get across town to the High school.

"So, I forgot to tell you Talia... Clarke and I are kind of dating now. I meant to tell you sooner but it happened so suddenly and, I really like him Tilly, I hope you aren't upset. I just thought you should know before we see him this morning."

Well, I definitely wasn't expecting that. But honestly I was kind of relieved to know that I now had a reason to push him out of my head and move on. "That's great Haylie!" I said. "I'm not upset, I'm glad. He is a nice guy and I'm completely okay with you two being together. Besides, there is a new guy I'm after now."

What? WHO?" Maia, Lila, and Haylie all shouted at once.

"Uh, calm down. His name is Alejandro and it isn't a big deal so don't make a big fuss about it. It isn't like we are together or anything right now. Can we just go inside now? We are going to be late and I can see Clarke waiting by the entrance with Trey like a lost puppy, so let's go."

Lila, short for Lillian, have first period together. So we all make our separate ways as Haylie goes off with Carke, Maia tags along with them, most likely to be able to spend time with Trey who she is totally in love with but won't admit it. Lillian and I go to first period class of the day.

First day of school was pretty uneventful, besides finding out half of my classes have Alejandro in it, which I could tell that would make this year pretty great.

As Maia, Lila, Haylie, and I walk out of the school to the car, Clarke comes running up asking Haylie if she would like to spend the afternoon with him as a "study buddy". The typical excuse guys use to cover up what they really mean which is, let's make out and feel each other up. Needless to say, the rest of us ended up with no ride home. Then Maia suddenly remembers our friend brandon has a car. It wasn't too hard to find him since he has a bright blue truck. We hop in the back and feel the wind rushing through our hair as we drive home.
